The Legend of the Mystical Ninja (Super Nintendo)
never played that one sadly. I think the N64 game was charming, funny, challenging and had plenty of fun gameplay to keep me satisfied on my Mystical Ninja fix.
It’s a tie for me.
God of War
The whole series has been fantastic. The combat is fluid and fun, the characters are interesting, and the storyline is very nice. I will play every game they release related to God of War. Add in gore and tits, and it’s satisfying throughout. GoW3 is the reason I bought a PS3.
Batman Arkham Asylum/City
Super fun combat, the voices from the animated series, written by Paul Dini. These games make you feel like Batman.
What
or That’s all you can say about it.
No question mark since that can readoff pretty aggressive after the what.
I hoped I could come in to say FF6 first, but I was busy putting the Music on Winamp. And what’s really better than just liking other people’s posts, write more about the game in the list you liked. Haven’t beat it either. Tons of soul and character development, great style and details all around. But I can tell its a great time having got as far as the last dungeon and did learn about what it takes to beat it (maybe I stopped the game when I grinded for more limiters, all magic costs 1 MP Rare Enemy Drop Accessory, with the dinosaurs enemy forest), saving myself from reading the ending of an old XpertGamer/EGM2 backpage article. Xenogears in that ending article was all strange with nakey people, maybe a EVA rehash…
Sorry, don’t mean to dismiss someone else’s fave game there. That’s just my understanding of it (& I don’t even have that much of Evangelion either), got real stuck deep in that one, low on items or something already having saved or who knows forgot by now. Probably some of this: going out so far from the save point, didn’t want another random battle, don’t know where I was supposed to go time consuming just to find the next step.
No, FF7 IS overrated, it’s just not a very good game.
Decent, sure, great, no.
Fallout, Panzer Dragoon, Phantay Star, and a ton of other better RPGS came out around the same time.
Dark Souls
Infinite replayability for me.
How could you seriously hate on this? Nostalgia on full effect…I miss this

I was a modder in the Xbox Version.
Still reminisce about the first stage Mother Earth of Dishonesty & shop music.
My second tied with first I should say is Morrowind. Only thing i dislike was the melee combat, everything else in the game was 10++++ for me personally. It still has the best environmental map out of the others in the ES series that only had one or two regions; snowy an or grassland. Morrowind had 5 to 6.
Dude I’m 29 now and I was 16 when the game came out and it was hailed as “quite possibly the greatest game ever made,” . Actually written on the box art. It demonstrates a short sighteness or a penchant for being overly excited and hyperbole on gamer culture. To hear you say that now means
anything you rate should be taken with a grain of salt.

I chose this trailer for a reason. When I first saw it I couldn’t stop rewatching it. It looked hype as hell to a kid. But the final fucking product though? It sent tidal waves through the whole industry. We are still cleaning up after it.
Half-Life
- Zelda: Ocarina Of Time
- Counter-Strike 1.5
- Tetris
Metal Gear Solid
I’ve played plenty of great games, but the greatest hands down is Shenmue, no game has evoked an emotion response in me like Shenmue. Ryo doesn’t need a billion dollar suit of armour, Apache choppers or the ability to fly between galaxies, I’ve not played a game that has felt so epic yet humbling at the same time. The game gave me freedom yet progressing through the story didn’t feel like a chore or distraction (GTA). Other than the supernatural element that was introduced in at the end of Shenmue 2 the game is flawless in my eyes.

Close second is Panzer Dragoon Saga.

Damn I wish Sega would remake this game:sad:
dark messiah (of might & magic) on PC
everything about that game was perfect imo. I killed the 5 orcs in the demo like 400 times because the combat was so fun.
great combat, graphics, atmosphere. 3 classes in singleplayer, skill trees story with choices and twists.
class based multiplayer with in game level ups und skill trees and a pretty unique conquer mode that consisted of 5 maps, far left and far right the castles of good and evil, towards the middle neutral terrritory. the winner of the map would shift one map further to the enemy castle.
Metal Gear Solid
I’ve played that game like 60 god damn times.
Yeah the supernatural element probably blew everyone away. I feel like Yu Suzuki purposely made things grounded in reality for the first and 99% of the second game just to give us a big wtf moment. Ryo probably was feeling the exact same way when he witnessed it.
My personal list:
Shenmue 1&2 (Shenmue at the top baby)
Sonic 2 (Soft spot for the adventure series as well)
Metal Gear Solid 3
Chrono Trigger
Virtua Fighter 4 Evo
SF2 CE
Dark souls , Misadventures of tron bonne , Powerstone 2 , Rival schools , Chrono cross, Dark cloud 2, FFVI ,MGS, Shenmue , Timesplitters 2 …
Yep ,the chi/ki thing I thought was cool, magical sword was going too far.
