At any rate, the cops can count it in their favor that the victim is dead. He can’t tell anyone what he thought happened. In fact every article I read kept saying, “according to police” as if there were no other witnesses. Ah, no witnesses. Must be nice killing people without witnesses.
This is also absurd. It generally takes a while to get witnesses for most things, it’s not like the instant something happens we have all the information right there, it can take months to work things out, or longer. And really, would you be a witness? If I saw some lunatic running around the middle of the street in his underwear I probably wouldn’t want to talk to the press, and it can take the authorities a while to give up what they have for legal reasons.
There isn’t anything that hints at a cover-up here.

There was a down south rapper that got wasted on PCP, killed somebody and then ate part of their brain. I wonder what would happen if a fighter took some pcp before the fight.
Probably depends on their mental condition, those with problems tend to go nuts those without don’t.

one things that’s never mentioned about how cops have so much trouble taking down guys on PCP is that most cops are out of shape fat fucks.
that said, i’m torn bcuz on one hand we have an unarmed black male with no apparent history (so far) of drug abuse or mental illness…and on the other hand we have the LAPD with a long history of shooting minorities for no reason and lying to cover it up.
you can believe whichever side you want, but it’s not some “fuck whitey bs” to believe that the cops most likely did some foul shit here.

the problem with most people’s “oh he was probably on PCP, the cops didn’t have a choice” arguments is that the cops didn’t call for back-up and tried take him down with just 2 guys, even though they should have ample to wait for back-up since homeboy kept running away from them before they finally cornered him and were “attacked”.
it’s kinda sad to think that god forbid, i have some sort of psychotic break or episode and the cops i’ll probably end up shot considering i’m about the same size and build as this guy and it’ll be shrugged off as “eh what could they do?!”

I think if you’re a black man that is at least 6’0, and 180 lbs+ and its you against the cops, its an 80% chance that you are going to get shot if you dont just surrender and a 20% chance your gonna get gang stomped cause it seems no one on the police force is capable of stopping a hulking black man of average athletic build.
One things for sure, I’d much rather take my chances with a high naked dude than a squad of cops on a dark night with no witnesses around

Obviously, the solution is to not put yourself in situations where police need to be called.
I’m sure there will be a better picture of what happened once the cabbie and whoever called the cops in the first place gets interviewed. Until then, everything’s speculation.
Some of us have had first hand experience with cops being abusive or crazy.
It’s an eye opener but I wouldn’t suggest trying it.
