I dont believe that he has a gun shit anymore. I’m pretty sure thats some default shit to say that they are taught amongst each other to keep themselves out of trouble. We’ll see how this plays out, maybe he did have one,but in scuffles like that, cops will generally claim anything as a gun these days. Ive seen enough videos, and heard enough anecdotes to biasely say, if its not blatantly obvious someone has a gun and is about to put one in you, or they didnt take any action to make you believe they were reaching for a weapon, possibly a gun, to attack you with, then they probably didnt have a gun.
He was some skidrow addict resisting police even after being tased. I have a feeling no gun will be found at all, unless they plant one and never run a finger print test on it, but he wont be missed im sure is the train of thought in murdering someone like him, and all people will see is a homeless man from skidrow, probably high on some shit, fighting with the police. Not the possible excessive force used. No one ever said being a cop was gonna be easy, especially when your own department creates incentives to make you less better at your job, and more focused on just not getting fired, demoted, or written up for not performing to a certain unrealistic standard.
What was that in texas a couple months ago where that cop chased that dude down and shot him because he was about to shoot the cop. Yeah, they came out quick letting everyone know he had a gun, and it was obvious in the video too. In todays climate, if a suspect had a gun, you would want to quell any angst from citizens pretty quickly i would think, and then just handle the rest of the investigation from there.
The LAPD must have been feeling left out recently in the news, but the homeless get that work in l.a from cops in general. Easier targets than poor black men.

Rewatched it, and yeah, that is possible he said get off my gun, but the second one sounded like drop the gun. Either way, like you said, its an execution, and no one can pull a gun from a cops holster like that from the front (Theyre called duty holsters). Its hard to even do it from the back if you dont know how to properly do it. This isnt 1984 anymore, with shitty holsters anyone can just snatch your gun out of.

March 9 (Reuters) - A white, Atlanta-area police officer shot dead a naked and unarmed African-American man acting erratically in his apartment complex and who was possibly suffering from a mental illness, the county police chief said.
A Dekalb County police officer responded to a caller who said a man was “acting deranged, knocking on doors, and crawling around on the ground naked,” on Monday around 1 p.m. local time, county police chief Cedric Alexander told reporters.
The officer encountered the man, who was not wearing any clothes, in the parking lot, Alexander said at a conference published online by local broadcaster Fox5.
Alexander said the man ran at the officer, who backed up and ordered the person to stop before shooting him twice. Police did not find a weapon at the scene, he said.
Monday’s shooting comes after a string of killings of unarmed black men by police in the United States. Last year, incidents in Ferguson, Missouri and New York City prompted nationwide protests, some of which turned violent.
This is at least the third African-American man to be shot dead by police since last Friday, who either was or seemed unarmed.
Dekalb County police has already faced protests after an officer shot dead a black man who had called 911 when his girlfriend was stabbed by an attacker in his apartment late last year, according to local media.
Alexander said he could “reasonably assume” the person was possibly suffering from mental illness, given his behavior. He declined to identify the victim, but the New York Times reported that he was 27-year-old Anthony Hill.
Alexander said the officer, who had been with the department for seven years, was equipped with a taser at the time of the shooting. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation would handle Monday’s incident, he said.
