I was at a police station to report a collision.
Turns out I only had my expired registration papers on me when I was asked to show my insurance/registration/license.
And get this, instead of getting a fine and not being allowed to drive out of the station, they asked me if I had registered it, I said yes and they let me drive out of there with nothing more than a “Thanks for your patience while we processed your collision report”.
For real.
I thought I was gonna get in some kind of bad bad shit.
I mean, who goes to the police station and gives expired registration? Thankfully I guess they didn’t care because I had the 2012 sticker on my plate.
Great thread. The police really get away with the biggest BS all the time. Horror stories about families being ruined over Marijuana, excessive force that people die from, etc. is just too much for me. I can barely stand looking at a policeman or their cars because it pisses me off so much. I agree with BlackMage in that police just make you want to run because you never know how annoying they are going to be/what illegal things they are going to do to you or what they are going to try to pin on you.
LAPD can go fuck themselves and die. They are asshole’s, and they are just as bad as the gangs. Its gotten so bad, that if you don’t act like a scared little bitch when they are questioning you, they like to exert their authority and intimidate you. Don’t even bother questioning the asshole’s as well. Their frail ego can’t handle somebody who refuses to be intimidated by their false authority.
And if you run, you get beat, like real bad. Adolescent tales from my dad’s younger days confirm this. If you run on foot or whatever and they catch you, they will beat the living shit out of you, all they do is turn of that damn camera, which should be illegal.
Fuck the police, I know they are some good cops, but out of all the cops I have had to deal with, the majority are a bunch of pricks who shouldn’t be given the power they are given. Its absurd that I have to constantly look out and appease these asshole’s where ever they may be. Its even more absurd that they can kill and beat people on a fucking whim. Its ridiculous that they can intimidate you and instigate hostility just because they have some piece of shit badge.
Can;t wait till my guns are taken away, so then I get to experience the full benefits of police state brutality.
Its a lot easier to sit back and allow these institution that provide false security destroy what values this country supposedly should stand for. People swallow the biggest loads of shit when an institution says that they are protecting the people. Integrity is a long dead ideal that won’t be coming back ever.
i remember going into town to buy some clothes and I ran into an old school acquaintance of mine and a group of his friends, we’re chatting and out of the blue a 2 police officers tells us that we were **all **caught on cctv cameras stealing from a shop down the road. I tell them I’ve Literally just met the group but they say they’re 100% sure they saw **me **steal. he tells me my rights, “you have the right to remain silent, anything you say…” blah, blah, blah… I turn around to walk away and he grabs me, i shrug him off and he slips, he grabs my foot so i kick him in the head. his colleague (who’s too afraid to stop me probably because he thought he’d get jumped) calls for back-up. we all run in different directions and luckily i get away … if they did catch me what could i get prosecuted for? I did nothing wrong.
whaaaaaa?!?!? this happened in britain right?
you could’ve been prosecuted for resisting arrest and assaulting an officer. charges would’ve been dropped though after reviewing the tape.
but seriously, maybe your friends stole something (?). guilty by association.
I didnt say the guy i was speaking to was a friend.
the way i see it I acted in self defence because I was assaulted by a police officer. he had no right to grab me or accuse me of anything without sufficient proof.
this happened years ago, and since then i’ve had far worse experiences with the police, especially undercover police officers.
