No. On so many levels no. Look, the Wakamoto scream would have fit much better, but that ain’t even CLOSE to the worst part of EVO. We already discussed the worst part, but getting Negan in T7 was worse than Dameon Clarke, and that wasn’t even bad.

If anyone can, please test Goku’s assist. I want to see a) how good it is at stuffing super dashes b) how good it is at controlling space c) how high does it hit in comparison to Goku and d) can you strike him from above or does the hitbox make contact before the hurtbox

A: Base Goku’s assist straight up stuffs super dash

B: Base Goku’s assist reaches somewhat far, a few steps back from round start distance. Image below shows the distance:

C: The vertical hitbox height of Base Goku’s assist is somewhat similar to his 6M or maybe a normal kamehameha beam.

D: For anti-air capabilities? Base Goku’s assist can stuff Vegeta’s jH if timed properly.

Oh, and real easy question: are the ground ki blast low-hitting?

Base Goku 5S hits crouchers (tested on Crouching Vegeta) so yes.

I meant the ones that come up from the ground. Do they count as Lows

@Colonel-Gilgamesh 1S 2S and 3S are mids (either can be blocked low or high).

Ooof I am shuddering what they might have done to Cell. I don’t think we ever saw him regenerate kneecaps in the show

Yeah, I’m not seeing anything good regarding Beerus. Depressing. Can’t they at least make it so his orbs don’t vanish on contact if anything.

Seems like it. Another day, another Beerus sucks.

Bardock is missing plus there are a few typos when looking over the changes.

I kinda like the changes given for the top cast. Granted, I was expecting more for the characters under them. I was initially interested in Frieza’s potential based on the new Golden Frieza changes, but because I’m seeing that not much has changed for the assist’s tracking, I don’t think much is there. Loops are nice though.

is there any word on overall system changes? Is super dash nerfed at all?

For Base Goku Kaioken stuff (which I would like more insight too if anyone can help on it)… In short:

  • Kaioken S>M>M S>L>L if fullscreen (all allies)
  • Kaioken S>L>L if opponent is in the corner (all allies)

Didn’t get to mess with it if no allies are present or 2 allies present… nor have I attempted assist follow-ups. Interestingly, H follow-up does a cmd grab (does less damage than the S starter) does not combo into itself via HKDs and other solo confirms, as it may have some use for block string gimmicks if the opponent has no meter to VA/Sparking/Invincible Super.

Those Frieza changes were underwhelming AF

Does that mean Golden Frieza can ignore the combo system like Gohan’s level system ?
