With Doom making a glorious comeback and a very successful one i hope they will make more in the future as well as revisit the Quake series for it’s single player campaign. It deserves love.
Doom,Quake, Unreal Tournament and Wolfenstein are some of my favorite franchises for FPS and i always hope for a new title in the series.
I spent hours playing the first one on PC. I personally loved the low grav and instagib Plasma Rifle mods the most.
And yeah, I really hope they reboot Quake. They would do such an amazing job with it.
Anyone ever play the Killer Quake Patch on Quake 1? It had like a few dozen multiplayer skins and extra weapons like a grappling hook and a Xena warrior princess boomerang that pinged around the stage (sometimes for minutes at a time) until it came back to you, beheading anyone it hit… I loved that god damn mod.
Also, you could also play bots with it, which I think was specific for that and not part of Quake itself, but it’s been like 20 years so I could be wrong.
Anyone playing DOOM ETERNAL on PC? I was looking to get some of the MP achievements and just wanted to BOOST as I really don’t enjoy the MP in this game.
I did that a lot in my last playthrough on Doom 2. Thankfully I could pistol start on the level and build my way back up. Is that possible for this game?
Yeah you should be able to do sword starts since you actually use the sword quite a bit in this to deal with Brown Ninjas and Coolie Ghosts, which there are a lot of, but I imagine it would be rough on Who Wants Wang*.

I just like having access to the dual Uzi’s, Grenade Launcher and Nukes since they make troublesome arena’s not so troublesome anymore.
For some reason thought Who Wants Wang was the hardest skill but it seems No Pain No Gain is “viable” for me. I dunno why but I assumed it was one of those gimmick difficulty options where you die in 1 hit, mobs respawn or intended for multiplayer. Guess I gotta do another run after this one D:
Restarted Shadow Warrior Classic on No Pain No Gain and I was having a baller of a run on the first level showing that I will infact snatch that pebble and then I got murked by a shadow ninja then my game crashed.
The new patch of Doom Eternal just dropped and they added Denuvo anti cheat software to the game that forces the DRM to launch before the game will start. Because you know, it’s not as though Valve has anti-cheat software to stop people from cheating or anything. So far I haven’t noticed any stuttering but I fucking hate Denuvo and have yet to see it not completely fuck over the frame rates of any game that runs it. It’s pretty sad to see these companies not value the play experience of paying customers when they launch these stupid ass DRMs that punish people who give them money.
The funny thing is it released with a DRM-free version and there’s been pirated versions floating around since day 1. The game’s been out for over a month and they add in Denuvo even though everyone who wanted to steal it already did.
It doesn’t make any sense. I also hear this is the most up to date version of Denuvo(which sounds fucked up when I read up on it.) I didn’t want it on my system and I uninstalled the game before it could patch in Denuvo.

It’s a Anticheat and not the DRM version of Denuvo, the Anticheat driver, that runs on the kernel level 0 turns on with game play and turns off when the game is done. Still its a driver that you didn’t install running on the kernel level where the driver has access to EVERYTHING
I feel for you guys. That shit really fucking sucks and is hella scummy of beth/id to do. Won’t lie this is one thing I’m glad I never have to deal with on console.
It really makes me sad because I was singing ID’s praises from the rooftops when Eternal dropped and delivered us a fantastic game. So sad to see all that good will wasted by one dumbass decision you know some suit made.
