Video Game General 7.0: Day Juan Ys: MoC June 9th & Wonderful 101 June 30th!

@Black_Jaguar @MARTIAN

I figured out why Online Mission in N2 are called that. It’s actually an awkward translation. In Japanese they’re called “downloaded missions” essentially, so it’s just saying they’re extra basically, not that they’re specifically for online play.

Beat Darksiders Genesis earlier today, I actually fought the final boss Moloch a few days ago, but I got my ass kicked so bad, I had to go back and replay some of the chapters to unlock new abilities, my two characters have become OP, the fight was so easy this time. I think I enjoyed this game more than Diablo 3 despite the game being really short. They haven’t announced any DLC for it yet.

Still playing Borderlands 3, I first beat the game with Moze, I’m now trying Amara.

Starting Bloostained tonight.

I haven’t worked since the 2nd week of March, so much free time.

I wonder how they’ll react when they find out that’s how every competitive game is played.

About the DOOM Eternal Denuvo DRM bullshit…

to quote myself from the DOOM/FPS thread…

The game was fire and a contender for GOTY, now this shit patch happens and…ugh!!

Man, it fucks me up how many copies of skullgirls I own and how much I’ve grown to dislike the game.

Does that mean you play it as much as SFV?

Same boat, although i wouldnt say i dislike the game per se, but i am aware that the type of gameplay it caters is one i suck at it, in a way that makes me not to want to play it much, lol

I still love seeing it in motion and seeing it being played at high level.

And will very likely buy it on PS5

You’d think so, right? But it isn’t a love/hate relationship. its a “my BnB shouldn’t really be this fucking obtuse to figure out and I just don’t care anymore” problem.

A few of the SF5 loungers are trying the game out. Loaded the game up to see if I could still remember some of the combos for my old team. Stopped caring 10 seconds in.

Its weird because you play a lot of the games it tried to be a spiritual successor to, and its easy to find some type of thing just to get you started. Like if you wanna play Magneto in MvC2, you can get by with 5 fierce just to get your feet wet. BBTag it didn’t take me long to find some type of bum combos I could rely on; MvC3 I labbed out ToDs and all that jazz.

Skullgirls is just some weird anti-hype to me in training mode. Its sort of like BlazBlue in that way. I spend a bit of time in there and then I just stop caring. Which is even goofier because i’m going through SFxT trials to see how the game works and its all sorts of cool to me. SG is just…:man_shrugging:

I’ve never had trouble finding strings in Skullgirls. You can practically mash.

Speak of a game that truly disgust me at every level, lol
The worst part is that a friend who knew i liked fgs bought it for me at launch as a thanks for some games i gifted to him on his birthday.

That is truly an anti hype game.
With the most idiotic combo system i have seen.
We give you chains, but you can only do real damage and connect specials by doing links in the same retarded way of sfiv.

No thanks.

I liked SFxT, 10x more fun to play than SF5 or SF4. Just got ruined with gems and DLC shenanigans

Once all the dlc and pitches came out it was actually one of the best fighters out there at the time.

Unfortunately No one really gave it a chance though because of shady dlc practices and capcoms dumb ass mandate of if you ran the game it HAD to be done 2v2 with each player controlling a single character.

I remember watching the stream of wiz announcing SFxT you could see his soul escaping his body and he slowly accepting death. He hated capcom for the 2v2 mandate more than he hated everything else.

That top 8 was garbage. I was there watching it live. Lol

Rolento was doo doo stupid good in that game too. His MK slide was so god like lol

Capcom got in its own way, I enjoyed SFxT immensely. Seeing two of my favorite franchises merged was amazing, that first trailer blew my mind. Then they announced gems…

I distinctly remember around that time they become reviled as a company, deservedly so. I was and still am a diehard fan but even I couldn’t defend them then

Iirc the same year sfxt was at evo they announced EVOxGods Garden (KSK’s tournament that replaced Tougeki Super Battle Opera) and TxSF

Neither of which ever happened lol

TxSF is straight vaporware. Guest characters and Project X Zone is as close as we’ll get :joy:

Oh 100%. Harada even said there’s no point in trying to make it now with both franchises going strong now. Cause when it was announced the FGC was in a weird revival stage and could have used it as a crutch.

Now there’s no need to. Fan boys can dream though.

Project x Zone 2 is the hotness btw.

Harada has better things to do than to bring a game that literally ZERO people really wanted. And I say that as someone who enjoyed SFxT.

I wouldn’t say zero ppl wanted it, especially after seeing how Harada translated Akuma and Geese into the Tekken system. If anything, he proved that TxSF could most certainly work if he did it. I doubted it but he made me a believer
