actually strike that im totally trippin… those comments were based on an on point/battery chun.

these buffs could really make her a REALLY good lvl 3 xf anchor:

buffed LL means she could be a new ghetto version of tron fire as an assist… which she should have been from the first place. so LL may replace trons now shitty ass.

self otg in xf will probably give her easier high damage combos from better/ further spaced lmh strings and whatnot.

jump cancelable cr.m will actually make her really scary up close cause in XF the mixup between c.:l:,c.:m: jumpcancel :m: or c.:l:,c.:m:,c.:h:
will give her a ranged high/low which will serve to increase her effectiveness up close should she get in.

the biggest worry is whether or not her XF will still be cracked out, since xf is said to have been normalized amongst the cast.

the point is if She can do OTG after throw, if not, this was just pointless…

This is most likely what it will be. Stomp => Air Legs and drag to floor => j.H/j.S => s.H, cr.H, S => Air combo

And yes if she can’t OTG off a throw, that will be disappointing. I see ground throws as an impossibility to OTG off of unless you have super fast fingers. Air Throw => Air Dash => Stomp xx Legs does not seem like an impossibility at all.

I think the sleeper changes are the ones to her anti-air. The arc on the light has been lowered so I’m starting to wonder if this can be used as a GTFO me and advance type move at the same time. End block strings you know are going to be pushed block with it and you’re already sort of the way back in and can air-dash/air attack/block immediately. Lower startup time is also a good thing. Again, since you can act immediately after the animation, this might be a good gap closer as it can be used to anti-air people trying to lame you out and theoretically it should be possible to start a full air combo off of a connected tenshokyaku. If not a combo, you should be able to go for air-throws.

It’s all theory but I feel this is something she REALLY needed…a way to deal with people who want to turtle at the top corner of the screen. Magnus/Storm/Trish could zone me for free all day and all I could do was super jump…and all they had to do was super jump back and that negated it. Now at least (it feels like) I have something.

with M, cr.M jump Cancel her rushdown from point blank range is a stronger then before, but she didn’t really need that… she need a way to deal with strong keep away as u sayd… so yeah… chun-li botton tier for sure.

That is so clever 0_0. I would never thought of that. The Air Throw=>Stomp would make chun-li’s corner pressure more of a nightmare (though her corner pressure is already a nightmare).

I’m happy with the changes thus far. Especially since that isn’t all of them.

This is true. She strangely had the HIGHEST speed increase in XF but strangely couldn’t combo off her own throws. That was the most oxymoron crap. She would have been near Dark Wesker status as anchor if she could just get her own damn damage off throws. The lightning legs assist isn’t bad either and if she comes out guns blazing with buffed legs hit boxes and damage off throws, that could be the ticket towards making her the scary anchor she should have been. Considering how your meter goes up faster when you’re in XF she could get access to lots of supers after the combos also.

Even if she’s normalized to 30 percent speed increase and toned strength that’s still a big issue considering Chun is already fast without XF and it’s said that her overall damage has been buffed a bit.

Plus the one thing THAT IS NOT normalized about XF now is times. Everybody has DIFFERENT XF lengths now. If Chun’s XF2/3 ends up being longer than other characters that could make a difference also. Supposedly Akuma’s XF is one of the shorter XF’s which I guess is due to how dominating he was in XF originally plus having one of the game’s best assists. Dark Phoenix supposedly has the shortest XF in the game.

Really Glad for the Chun Li changes! Hmm since they don’t appear to be changing her airdash I think they should allow her to block still because its literally only 1 way dash. With the Kikoanken changes being HCF A+ H is it really going to be easier to do?’

Ex Spinning bird kick will remain Down then Up but you have to hold it longer to actually do it.

Motion is normal SBK just you charge it for a second longer. You start to glow ala Megaman/Zero with a charge buster supposedly…and that’s a huge indicator for both parties that you can use it. Both a buff and nerf at the same time.

I was just assuming making Kikoanken easier to do was to stop that stupid annoying double tap that would stick on it. After a while, it becomes muscle memory but in the beginning the timing was so damn strict that it was frustrating in the heat of a tourney match. I assumed that this happening less was what the change actually was…I doubt the actual input has changed.

(Yeah, Kikoanken was stupidly strictly. Glad to know it wasn’t just me being unfamiliar with the character.)

Hunh. That makes sense, but I can’t say that I like it considering a)she has to be charging down and b)it seems like if that the normal version is actually used for anything for anything by you guys, then now you have the chance of screwing up your charge and getting the EX SBK version. I could have sworn I saw someone say that instant jump regular SBK has…some use or something, but I don’t play Chunners (and, unlike UMvC3 Ryu, I still don’t intend to), so I wouldn’t know.

Would that mean you can cancel any kikoken into kikoanken? I don’t see how that would make it easier.

My guess is they just increased the frames where you can input the additional :h:.

Huh? but there’s is no HCF+S move… What’s the indicator to put in the H? Is it like a feint motion of Kikoken?

Edit: Well that’s what im guessing… Because if you hit S, launcher immediately comes out.
