I think the increased priority on lightning legs is a mistranslation. The Japanese website lists the change as “百裂脚の判定を弱体化”, which seems to indicate that the priority on lightning legs is actually nerfed.

Also, less startup on Tenshoukyaku? The move is already so fast that you cant cancel in any HC on hit! Its the only Shoryuken motion-like move that cant cancel into a HC.
It better. I’m really tired of having to settle for “casuals” with Chun. I can’t play her in tournament matches cause the advantage you give good players is simply too large. She simply can’t over come certain things like being zoned out or the inability to capitalize off an air throw.
If Air Throw => Instant Stomp xx Legs combos, her viability goes up 1000%.
Kikoanken IS MUCH EASIER TO DO. I went to the NYC Capcom Fight Club and didn’t miss it a single time. I thought it was that I had sharpened my execution, then I went home and kept missing it lol. And i was telling myself nonsens like “I was playing better because it was offline” and stuff. If you’re like me and can see the inputs but it doesn’t come out in training mode, don’t worry, it’ll be coming out in Ultimate
It never occurred to me that they might have made the input more lenient. I was exposed to Capcom catering to my execution without even realizing it. 0_0. (I mean I can do Chun BnB’s i just found the Kikoanken difficult). Now that i know it’s kinda embarrassing lmao.

I hope they made chun less susceptible to hit stun deterioration because her lightning legs tacks on so many hits.
Anyone tested out her Tenshoyaku I forgot whether or not it’s jump Or action cancelable.
I have just realized something… Being able to move after an airborne Tenshoukyaku will buy us more time to flee from XF activations.
If you combine 3 jumps + 3 Tenshoukyaku, she’ll be probably reaching the very top of the stage screen!
That was what I was thinking and if she still has her headstomps infinite I’ll laugh XD.

It is probably the best buff she got…it’s the ability to chase people who are trying to lame you out and run away. Her ability to get places in the air will be stupid good now…both for offense and defense.

Also test her EX SBk against various hypers and see which ones it hits and does it beat out beam HC etc
Yeah… If she has the life advanatge, she can super jump and keep laming up there til the time runs out…

But yeah not only is Chun now able to approach safer but also burn XFC like MODOK does.
That depends if we can do tenshoyaku 3 times in the air…but I guess it could work.
I suppose as it is just a special done in the air, Chun is not even close to be overpowered to be restrained like phoenix and her fireballs.
So with the reveals today, do any of you see any synergy between Chun and FW or RR?
Assists matter heavily.
Rocket Raccoon can probably get his spring trap hyper off of Kikosho. Frank gets his level 1 cinematic after Kikosho most likely. Nothing too promising though but again, assists change that heavily. I might give Frank a whirl as I used him with Chun in TvC from time to time.
I’m gonna try mixing Chun with Rocky.
The double fireball assist could be a decent replacement for Sentinel drones. And the log might have a niche use as well.
Chun’s LL assist will help with Rocky’s teleport/airdash mixups.
I’m a believer in Chun. Gonna try to pick up in Ultimate.
I’ve always had her at anchor since pre-launch. May consider moving her to either point or mid with these buffs and I also thought about replacing Sent drone with Rocky’s assist.
