No.
Too convoluted. :wasted:
Do a Versus or an Agito individual thread when it comes out.
Also, can we talk freely about plot stuff without using spoilers now or not yet?

This game disappointed me so much that I’m just gonna sell it so I couldn’t care less about a DLC for this horrible fucking trash.
Overstating opinions is SO SRK 2k9.
I like hope, whats wrong with hope? Its Saszh and Vanille that are useless.
Actually gameplay wise Sazh and Vanille both become better than Hope in all Roles ^_^; He’s still good at the end but he doesn’t have anything that makes him stand out, so he’s sorta the ‘normal’ character.

but he has the highest magic stats?? i don’t get it. are we talking about hope as a team member or as a leader?
As a leader, any character is good…
… it’s the AI that’s a problem. I’ve died way too many times cause I was in the red and Hope decided to waste all the curasa/ja (whichever is the single target) on himself and watch me die.
lol, true. thats definitely happened to me a few times. fang and hope just stand there looking at me while the enemy laughs.
One thing that would’ve made the AI much better is if you can tell it what buffs, debuffs and magic attacks to use when in battle from, say, the Paradigm menu. Though I think that way it’ve made the game easier?
For that matter, Hope hasn’t let me down yet, he’s managed to keep me alive in some tough battles =3
This is what FFXII did right.
Yeah Hope should cast protect on the leader first before casting haste on himself. Jesus christ I would have been saved a lot of trouble if he did it like that.
lol oh well
couldn’t agree more, i feel like they needed to find a bit healthier balance between directly “programing” what your ai controlled dudes would do and the overall paradigm switching. i would fucking love it for instance if i could have my sab’s prioritize slow above the other things that would be very helpfull, or having my syn’s favoring brave, faith, haste would be nice. and different mobs would need a slightly different priority.
The only real complaint I have about the AI (I haven’t finished the missions, just the story portion of the game) is the order in which buffs are doled out, which has already been mentioned. Having to wait for Brave and Faith until very last makes a lot of fights take much longer than needed, but the bigger problem is against bosses to clear buffs; rebuffing takes forever.
Actually Haste is one of the best buffs in the game. As someone once said in a site; Life seems slow without (Auto-)Haste.
It’s what you get AFTER Haste that is important; early in the game it would indeed be best to get Protect and Shell, but as you advance, offense becomes more important so they should cast Bravery and Faith.
Didn’t have much time to play XIII since it released, but I finally cleared the game yesterday.
Overall impressions are that I really enjoyed the entire package. I think anyone that was a fan of X will probably enjoy what XIII has to offer.
That being said, just a couple nitpicks that I personally didn’t like about the game:
Difficulty - way too easy for a FF. Not once did I feel actually challenged or even pushed to upgrade my weapons (beat the game without upgrading anything), until the final battle. Even then it was just a matter of re-arranging equipment to avoid random death spells, and then everything was peachy.
Story - you so WANT to love certain characters, and learn why they feel the way they do…and I just feel like S-E just builds you up with some of the cast then leaves them 1 dimensional and never explores their motives. Snow is my biggest gripe here. Awesome character design just wasted on 1 dimensional “save the princess” mentality.
But really those are my 2 biggest complaints. Found everything else about the game (especially the delicious battle system) really enjoyable and I think any fan of FF should be able to pick it up and have a blast with it.
i have a problem with the fact they’ve become to linear. Back in the older games, you would find a kickass shield/helmet/etc and have to decide who would get to wear it. Now, you pretty much just walk in a straight line until you find sword #2, then continue a few more levels until you find sword #3, and so on. All your characters wield is one weapon (which is exclusive to each character, rather than have some be shared), and some accessories. Going into a fight knowing that the boss is a fire boss, and making sure all ur equipment was up to par was one of the fun things about RPG’s.
Another gripe is that stores served almost no purpose in the game. You used to love finding a new town so you could buy new weapons and equipment and items. In FFXIII, the only point of stores (which are stupidly accessable at save points) is for customization items (which I never used yet, and I am on the 3rd disc now).
I took some quick notes on the not-yet-announced FFXV, which will turn away from the gameplay developed in XIII.
Some interesting stuff going on here, check it out.
Final Fantasy XV
Featured Cast:
Main Character: Vash the Stampede v2.0, main attributes/characteristics: he?s a Japanese Wolverine with a 20ft sword that shoots cannon balls. Also, he?s a ninja.
**Female Lead: ** Titty McCosplay, main attributes/characteristics: perfect female form including a waistline so small that she must constantly huff like a Bible Black character in order to breathe properly. She?s everything you?d ever want in a girl, plus, she?s completely inaccessible as a human being, meaning you don?t have to get nervous around her because she doesn?t know you exist. Also, she?s a double-ninja.
Supporting Cast:
Emo Coldplay Evanescence: He believes in reincarnation and has the unique characteristic where by leveling him up requires suicide where upon he becomes a higher level of douchebag. Also, his weapon is a refrigerator tied to a cat. Why? Because Japan. Shut up.
Generic Female Cat-Thing: Sexy furry girl who hits on every male character and regularly breaks the forth wall by talking to the player. She has feline AIDS.
Also, there are some other characters. They?re gay, or not.
Game Info:
Playtime is approximately 300,000 hours.
XBOX360 version spans 400 discs.
Key game elements require you to travel from city to city, where upon you must interact and remember over 800 distinct NPCs each of whom have over 500 random sayings all done in text. Note: only one of those sayings/interactions is important and counts as a rare drop.
Turn Based Combat: TBC returns in FFXV in a major way. Everything is turn based now including map exploration, battles, cut-scenes, and more! Even things that don?t make sense as cut-scenes feature TBC.
Open World System: A vast open world is available which connects directly into Second Life. An interesting story opens up as the player mindlessly wanders around with no clue except that the world is ending, it?s Beyonce?s fault, there?s a Krystal (yes, the fast-foot place), and an evil corporation is preggo with your baby.
Players may travel anywhere in the Open World System, providing they have spent a minimum of 30 hours leveling against the available Flan spawn in their present area. Also, save points are only located after boss fights bringing the true challenge home for the dedicated grinder.
This game will be a direct sequel to FFVII.
I dunno about the towns and stores guys. Back in the old school days it was cool to fly the airship to whatever town to get said item. But now that we dont have the airship anymore and we just warp i like the fact that when i save my stores are right there.
I gave/give props for that. I hated being in one area of FF looking on-line or in a guide for a item then having to travel all the way to whereever to get 1 said item. This happend to me tons of times in 12…lol. Id be out doing a hunt then i’d see oh shit i need that item to protect against confuse or whatever…look it up damn i gotta trek to that town…
The only thing that really needs to come back is gil after killing monsters. The towns/stores is fine with me.
Right @ the save spot.
I guess we will see with Versus. Tetsuya Nomura said he got the airship working for versus so,
All i know is times are different with ff you know. shit i miss having 5 peeps on the screen at one time.
our ff2 on ur way to the last boss you were scared to take a step…lol every step was a fight that could kill you. Kain wasn’t there to save you…lol
