The Final Fantasy XIII series thread. Black people sold separately

Oh God, the Pharos in FF12. Ugh! :wasted::grrr::bottle:

That dungeon and the Gulgu Volcano in FF1 are the worst dungeons ever in FF. :bottle:

Don’t forget phoenix cave in FF6.

Okay so I’m at the bottom level of the tower in Ch 11, I’m planning to do as many missions and side things i can before the end of the game - how much longer you reckon I’ll squeeze out before that? (chapter 13 is the last one isnt it?)
I’ve got 300k CP stocked up purely from doing missions and getting to the tower after i maxed out my levels earlier, gonna go spazzo when next tier unlocks

I hear it takes 100 hours or so to complete everything.

Haha, Lightning’s Army of One technique is fucking amazing.

Any idea when I can get that technique? I’m still on chapter 11.

idk why I bother reading Neogaf forums. I’ve never seen such haters in my life. They all hate FF13 lol. While most of SRK likes it (they just had to put air combos for us).

I wouldn’t recommend going on /v/, then. Trolls trolling trolls.

Also someone answer my question about weapons to upgrade

You can get everyone’s ultimate attack in Chapter 12 I believe (Level 9 Crystal).

You can re-do Missions in order to get the 5-star. In fact, the reward for the last mission is an item that makes it easier to get 5-stars in battles (Gold Watch).

A Shroud is a -sol item. Such as Agisol or Ethersol. You use them by hitting L1.

How do you use a character’s ultimate attack anyways? Their description makes me think it’ll only do big damage when you’re low on health…

EDIT: Updated first post, I’ll try to add some more info later on, preferably for weapons.

It seems like each ultimate is good for certain things. Lightning’s is best for when the enemy is already staggered, yet not at 999%. Fang’s does the most damage when the enemy is at 999%, though. The ultimate is the last action in the menu, and it costs your whole ATB to perform.

I’M NOW USING A SPOILER TAG!

[details=Spoiler] I just hit Gran Pulse. Time to start farming CP and gil. The previous battles with Cid, Bahamut, and Alexander weren’t that hard as long as you can figure out the right paradigm shifts to use. Also ABT Cancels and Shift Cancels were useful in the fight against Cid.

Sorry if I made anyone mad for not using a spoiler tag. I’ll make sure to use a spoiler tag for every single post that reveals anything and everything about the game from now on. :karate:[/details]

^

Is it so hard to spoil tag stuff?

Holy shit

Alexander

Spoiler

IS A FUCKING TRAIN

I think.

I shouldn’t respond to spoilers and then continue discussing them without the spoiler tag.

Actually [spoiler=]he’s a fortress/castle/fort/wall/barricade[/details]

Apologies for neglecting to use Spoiler tags, I’ll use them in future updates from now on, sorry ^_^;

Well that would make more sense, but I thought it would fit more with the vehicle theme.

missions

Spoiler

Do the tower missions count towards the trophy achievement? They don’t seem to be re-doable. :frowning:

And I need gooooll… gil.

So, how many missions are there in total?

Are they all on that main Pulse area?

I know missions 4 through 8 aren’t, but I really don’t feel like running around for hours finding the marks, that would just take forever.

for the lulz

[details=Spoiler]Figured it wasn’t a spoiler since this thread and the other Final Fantasy thread had spoilers about this game revealed without tags.

Also the original post in this thread didn’t state about any rules in regards to giving up spoilers and if it was allowed or not. The initial post in this thread has already spoiled some parts of the game by revealing spots to farm CP and gil. Every post in this thread should be put in a spoiler tag then. jk jk jk

But since I got an infraction for my previous post, it must have offended someone. Oops.

I’ll just stay away from this thread and not post anything then. Not like it matters anyway. But if I do make another post, it will be in a spoiler tag regardless of its content.[/details]

Yeah.

IMO, spoilers should be used only for story events and obvious boss fight twists.

But killing enemies, farming CP and the missions aren’t spoiler worthy, come on now. :wonder:
