That is all.

and which mission activates that?
i don’t see why all missions aren’t already activated and why you can’t do them in whatever order you want. i’ve done a lot of missions, just not in order because they’re all over the damn place. and half of them have me fighting enemies not worth fighting IMO. the drops are garbage with the exception of a few enemies. anyway, what the hell mission activates this shit.
i just want a genji glove, access to the store i can cop organyx in and maybe to fight a tonberry or two and then i’m done with this pos post game crap.
Am I the only one who hates the story? Feels like I’m the only one in the thread lol.
na the story is ass. its full of holes and too far fetched.
its hard to like the characters because of the weak story. the only thing this game has going for it are the first few chapters, chapter 12, the final boss battle, the ending and the battle system (to an extent) IMHO.
this mission shit is pissing me off too, not because of the difficulty of the missions but because of the difficulty of the damn map and understanding what unlocks what.
Game is pretty good. I’d give it an 8.5 or 9 easily. Amazing graphics, fun battle system, and sacrificing the open endedness of the story actually makes it move along and feel crisper then recent FFs. I enjoyed the characters and would openly welcome a FF13-2.
ffXIII-2 needs a god damn air ship, tho. they should have…
air ship
received cid raines’ ship IMO.
and who the fuck has eidolons but doesn’t use them??? race car, motorcycle, various mechs and these idiots walk everywhere?? square cannot be serious. running across the entire pulse whether it be
rant
on the back of a chocobo or
on foot is not fun when you incorporate the rotating map and the many icons that look the same. who the fuck cares about treasure you already found? show me the stuff i haven’t found or take that shit off the map altogether because the spots look like cieth stones. why the fuck aren’t cieth stones that you can go to but haven’t touched not on the map? or maybe it is? my head hurts from looking for missions and taking 344324324 min to find them.
lol @ the rotating map, tho.
and less stagger bar, please. this game as a non ff title is a decent game but its like with that ff title i expect something. i hate to say it but this is not a real ff to me for some reason. its a nice game that has a lot of flaws that irk me but yeah…the music, the things they took out of this game, etc. just make this a completely different rpg not worthy of the ff title IMHO. thats just me, tho.
^Agreed. Eidolons being able to transforms = have to make them like vehicles or something out of CG. I don’t want a freaking sequel though. The story has butchered everything anyway. One day I’m going to list all my rants towards the story.
things ffXIII and future ff games need to have, IMHO:
bosses? OH HELL NO.
last but definitely not least, they need to be way more clear as far as any type of upgrading to accessories and weapons. i feel like the game doesn’t do a good job at explaining either.
i cannot stress how lame it is to me that everything needs to be upgraded and how lame it is that all of the components needed to upgrade are either extremely rare, incredibly expensive or both.
lol @ finding dark matter in this game.
lol @ farming traps.
lol @ the ultimate weapons having 100 levels to them.
lol @ the price of dark matter and traps.
instead of making this stuff extra tedious and making it draw out the game why don’t they just include a new game plus and maybe a longer game? that way they wouldn’t have to hide the fact that the game isn’t really that long by making it take a ridiculous amount of time to do shit that shouldn’t be that hard to do.
/end rant
it sounds like i don’t like the game, but thats not the case…its just that the game has mad flaws that add up that begin to take away from the enjoyment of the game IMO.
also kill the whole if the leader dies we all die thing. i’m tired of fang looking at my dead body while the enemy laughs at us.
LOL!
The FF10 staff apparently hates a world map airship like the old school.
And Debs, Regen is in the game. It’s just called Medguard but is the same.
There are small flaws in this game but my biggest gripe is just the upgrading system for weapons. Square just dropped the ball there big time. The other few flaws don’t bother me that much.
And the not using the 3 members is annoying but I can accept this as a build up for future FF games. I’m super hyped for the next non MMO FF game that comes my way.
i mean regen>all or something. regen is limited to sents…the whole team needs regen, IMHO in some cases.
i’m going to post a list of things that square did right for ffXIII to balance out the list i just posted…there are some cool things they did that definitely made the bar a little higher for rpg’s.
…after i attempt to open the fault warrens.
and i know i said it before but jesus, can the names of these places be just a little more easy to remember? when i use teleport stones, i don’t even know where i’m going even though i’ve been to those areas, lol.
Wow thats true… For a next gen game this game has too many palette swaps. Such things are inexcusable in this day and age. Before palette swaps would help memory problems and such but NOT ANYMORE!
debs, you touched on everything that belongs in an FF game. That is what is weird about FF13 and the more recent games.
Sounds like you are mad because it’s not like every other FF. Stop being a bitch, it was a good game. Towns can suck a dick. Computer Save thing is great. Why do I want to explore a town a talk to people? Do you really want to play crappy mini games?
They just need to take the FF13 battle system, put in gambits, keep the hunts from 12, put in the mini games from 10 and X-2 (blitzball was teh shit in X-2), and put in a good story like the first half of 12.
because dungeons suck? They are especially bad in this game with long straight roads. Haha at ff12 having a good story at all, sorry but that shit sucked hard from beginning to end.
well i thought i had replied, but you access the fault warrens by doing missions 30-35, they are located in the top right hand area of the steppe map (when you first open it after porting to the central plains) there are like 4 or 5 missions up in that corner that you access by choco’s. make sure you do the one next to a vampire on a ledge cause that’s the teleport, and then do the one in the area above that will open the warrens.
Yeah I took a chance and bought this game and for fuck sakes it’s just a lot of good and bad. I love the grinding and super tough enemies you can fight over and over but for gods sake all the shit related to upgrades, battles, and items/gil is retarded.
I mean why does my whole team die if my leader dies? WTF? Why is gil so hard to find? Why is there no airship? Twice I thought I got an airship but each time I could do nothing… lol
This game is missing a lot. I mean lost odyssey was a hard game to play but that game KILLS this one easy. So sad too cause the game showed promise at the beginning.
Also the story is retarded and stupid. And lighting needs her own game. I can’t even bring myself to finish this thing. I just went back to playing dragon age awakening.
This game really needs to end. Regular fights that are designed to take 10 minutes in chapter 13? Fuck that. Big rant coming in a couple hours when I finish this game up. The ending better be very worth it.
Ever thought that maybe you’re just doing it wrong? They shouldn’t take nearly that long (except the boss battles).
(Warning: Elitism X’ing).
MOTHERFUCKER! You would post that now when I’ve already left. I only did up to mission 9 because I couldn’t find ten and didn’t feel like looking in that big ass map.
Should I go back and do some more grinding?
They don’t take me quite that long, but the target time is around there. They’re just really a pain in the ass. 3 Dagonites and 3 Sacrifices, staggering the fuck out of my party while spamming daze and dispelling/giving me every debuff in the game.
The bosses haven’t been as tough, imo.
