For anyone who hasn’t left Pulse yet; here’s the best thing you can do. Once you beat the Chapter 11 Boss, do not go to the ship. Instead, turn around, go to the abandoned schoolhouse, and start Mission 55 (must complete Mission 14 first). Next, learn Death with Vanille. Before the fight with the Neochu (the Mark), I suggest making your team Vanille (SAB),Lightning (MED), Snow/Fang (SEN). For equipment, give Vanille the debuff wand, Diamond Bangle, Sprint Shoes, and Aurora Scarf. Lightning should have similar equipment and the SEN should be wearing straight HP gear. Also, you want to use a Fortisol and Agisol. Next, cast Death on Neochu until it dies. This could take a few tries and you might need to Summon/Renew/Elixer near the first of the fight (because your SEN won’t have a guard up until he/she provokes). If you die, just retry (I had to retry 3 times). Upon victory you get a Growth Egg, which gives 2x CP for the entire team. Then, you can farm that Behe/Wolf fight for 13200. It takes me approximately 43 seconds for one full cycle of respawn, fight, kill. Even if you don’t want to farm Behe/Wolf, the Growth Egg will make the rest of your travels much easier (as there is some great EXP at the end game).
i would see this the morning after i spent the night leaving ch. 11…
Got Genji glove last night, it un-caps your damage. Fang and Highwind = LOL.
P.S. BTW for mission reward it only gives you once right? No matter how many times you do the mission?
So who’s the big badass Omega/Ruby Weapon/Nemesis/Yiazmat/Trema type in this game?

yes that does stink. Its doesnt feel like a FF game without a uber sidequest boss. I was expecting another 6hr yiazmat battle.
so i just started chapter 10 and i missed the easy gil grinding at hope’s house. is there any other place around chapter 10 or later that has an easy gil grind?

Just keep playing and you’ll eventually have shitload of gil.
Just started the “Hope’s House grinding” right now. Feels good to actually have Gil over 0 now
Surprised at the lack of secret bosses, but I’m sure it’ll be on DLC or something. Last Remnant did something like that too; Enemies would appear in certain areas because of DLC items. Maybe something like this?
is selling items pretty much the only way to get gil?

Well, all the FFs have the same goal and that doesn’t change ever which is saving the world. That’s just tradition and how it is.
I agree that the cutscenes don’t explain events quite well. That’s where the datalog and the analects come in. When you put cutscenes + datalog + analect, the events, history and mythology comes together and it fits together quite well.
This method is okay IMO. FF Tactics did it as well and it enhanced an already great storyline making it extremely deep with all it’s backgrounds. But granted, FF13 isn’t as deep as FF Tactics by a longshot storywise but it ain’t a bad one either.
About character preference (not gameplaywise), well, that’s always a matter of personal opinion. I’m sure Hope has some fans out there somewhere. All I have to say to that is your taste sucks, LOL! jk
And glad you liked my review.
I never said I was against stories about saving the world. I just don’t like the concept of heroes being inherently good and bad guys being inherently evil. Characters are more interesting if something guided them onto that path, other than just simply being a tree hugger.

Yeah but by chapter 12-13 you’ll have like 500k
Now I’m confused. According to the Final Fantasy wikia there are 2 superbosses in Final Fantasy XIII.
Vercingetorix is the final Cie’th Stone mission. For his mission to become available, the player must have defeated all 63 prior missions. He is a flying Cie’th with 15,840,000 HP. Defeating Vercingetorix, and as such completing all missions, earns the player the Galuf’s Grail Achievement/Trophy.
Another superboss is Long Gui , a massive oretoise who becomes available once the player has completed all of the fal’Cie Titan’s trials as well as missions 56-62, at which point every oretoise on the Archylte Steppe except one will become a Long Gui. Long Gui has 16,200,000 HP itself, while its two front legs have 1,080,000 HP. Disabling its legs is highly recommended, as doing so renders it defenseless, but they eventually recover. Defeating Long Gui typically requires disabling its legs at least twice. Defeating Long Gui earns the player the Adamant Will Achievement/Trophy.

i need a way to farm gil in chapter 13. i just spent like 850k upgrading omega weapon to level 77…
i do have another trap in my inventory tho (i ended up farming two rather than leaving the area to continue the game in chapter 12). i now have like 2k gil. but light’s stats are crazy, so…
everybody has a maxed out grid as far as their main roles…with 100k cp to spare per character.

Sacr3D:
superbosses
Spoiler
Its just a turtle and those Cieth that fly. Model swaps galore.
Still count as super bosses; FF5 and 6 Advance had the same concept for their super bosses

enuo was a brand new boss, tho. i mean a new sprite, iirc.
@bokchoy : i totally agree on your criticism of the game. i have a few things to add but i’ll wait until i defeat the final boss before judging.
Confusion.
I’m in the Gran Pulse area of chapter 11.
If I finish chapter 11 and proceed to endgame, will I be able to return to this area?

are there any other accessories besides doctor’s code that i can dismantle and get shrouds from? i really need more shrouds…at least i feel like i do. some of these bosses are a pain without them.
