The new retrospective entry made me want to play that game more than ever. Alas, I don’t care much for monthly fees.
I almost reactivated my account last night, was bored out of my mind. Any SRkers on Ragnarok?
After finding out about some buffs us 2H weapon users got, I re-activated to give it another go. Anyone in here play on Fenrir?

You should really play the original NES versions of I and II, particularly I. The DoS version is so unbelievably easy that I almost don’t want to say I beat FF1 because of it. However, I will say that Shinryuu and Omega in the optional dungeon CAN present some difficulty depending on your team. Other then that…
My favorite FF game has, and probably will always be FFT. Can’t wait to play it on PSP (out in early Oct.) 
Hopefully it won’t be full of suck and fail like the GBA one. :tdown:

It’s an enhanced port, so it’s basically the same FFT but with added features (movie cutscenes w/ voice acting, a few new jobs, added parts of storyline, ability to play as Holy Knight Delita at some points). They also added Wi-Fi, and they’re balancing the game out as much as they can so you can’t break the game so easily (what with Calculators and all).
I also just like the idea of having a portable FFT~
i have yet to touch mine as Im still in the very 1st town in the beginning where you’re supposed to avoid stuff in the desert or something. I have way Too many games to play. let’s put it this way, I’m barely on disc 2 or maybe middle of disc 2 of ffVIII & im at close to 7000hp FFIX still on disc on3 part 3 untouched, 4 same 5 same as well 6 remain to have og and new gba version well the latter at least im @ a decent place because that’s what started it all for me (well b-sides part 1 on the nes 
)

FFIX was a very welcome addition to the series IMO. It was a good throwback to the old-school style and was an even better break from the emo (YES I FUCKING SAID IT) that plagued some of the other FF games.

Note: I know I didn’t mention tactics. Cause honestly. I hated FFT. For a lot of reasons. I’m not a fan of Tactic RPG’s in general, except for Vanguard Bandits. And the Calculator shit was broken…and just…iunno…I didn’t like it. BUT if I did have to rank it. To me it’d be inbetween VII and III.

I agree, I loved the game when I played it.
Only thing I didn’t care for in IX (but you later don’t even notice it) is sometimes you lag in battle.
I mean, I know it’s mainly to load the animations or whatever. But like I said, after like 10 hours into the game you don’t even notice it.
Other than that, IX was a fucking masterpiece. Kuja = Love.

I didn’t like Beatrix actually.
And you just like her cause she has tig ol bitties.
None of her battles had a point really. And they were all timed battles. She had infinite HP.

She’s a big-tittied SEXY DAMSEL IN DISTRESS and I liked her and her battles and her music (Sword of Doubt, Loss of Me) 
Not to mention that one scene at Alexandria with Steiner and her, that part was hilarious.
