It’s not a rom, rather an ISO fiile, but yes.
So long as you have a copy of the ISO for FFT, you can patch it. There’s even an actual patcher program.

they took blade grasp out lol…that shit was broken. You basically cant get hit in the original if you had that.

I haven’t played the PS1 version of FF Tactics on my PSP in quite some time and I’m not sure why; I was stuck at one point, but I got past it and just took a break, and that has extended for the whole summer. I’m not sure how far in I am into the game, but I recently picked up a guy dressed in a white cloak thing who I think we saved from his brother who was going to kill him…

That’s Luso, a new cameo charactrer from FFTA-2. He has Ramza’s entire skillset, including the Act 4 abilities.
I am playing the PS1 version, so I don’t think it’s that guy. He kinda resembles a ninja, and he has an attack where random spots in a selected area are attacked by flashes of light.
The one with the white hood is Rafa, who is a girl. You are talking about her. Her brother is Malak, who is a boy, and he also has a similar moveset (with some differences). You are in Chapter 3, I’m guessing?
Those guys are so random… I don’t like their abilities at all, but with emulators I guess you could save state and turn sky mantra/nether mantra into a 6-hit combo.
The patch changed them significantly I heard, though I haven’t gotten that far yet.
Man, I wish MY Luso had all those skills in FFTA2… all I get are rabbit women, and the cool moogles who created the city of Goug.

Yep, seems like they got a significant boost from bottom of the barrel to upper-mid tier. Rafa, anyway. Not sure about Malak.
FFTA2 Luso with Parivir + Geomancy rapes the fuck out of anything that isn’t FFT: War of the Lions Dark Knight anyway.

No, he doesn’t get special abilities like Ramza. But again, Parivir (Samurai in FFTA2) job class with Geomancy ability fucks up everybody anyway.
Samurai in A2 (Parivirs) have elemental sword slashes that do double damage + status ailments instead of the Draw/Iaido in FFT. Add the Geomancy ability which makes the elemental defense of whatever you hit lower (absorb goes down to immune, immune to normal damage, normal damage goes to weakness) and you can rape people in one hit for the most part.
you have easily the hardest battle in the game coming up. (assuming you didnt power lv :rolleyes:)
