The Fatal Fury Real Bout 2 Thread

I’ll know when they do. They don’t have any dates posted as of yet. And I look forward to playing ya, Chibi. Speaking of, do you play on kaillera at all?

Yes, I play against Josh and Keits whenever I can.

I play Mai and Xiangfei.

;3

Alright. As we speak I’m uploading more RB2 vids on my youtube account.

Lot’s of X action in here and others.

http://www.youtube.com/CoosCoos

Bumping.

All the January 23rd footage of RB2 is up on my account.

The February 23rd footage will be up by tonight.

Enjoy.

that first players rick really sucked against franco. well, that pretty much my only complaint.

K the 2/23 footage is up now.

Does anyone wanna play some matches today on p2p?

Get at me on aim.

Cool Vids + Rep

How is Franco looking like the Hulk? lol

Ninja ps2 edits lol.

God i wish kailerra worked for me.

Lets pressure ponder to get this on GGPO.

Yes!

GG’s to malven on p2p today.

Have you tried to diagnose the problem? Exactly what is the problem?

Good games, Josh. I think you’re just about ready for FRXI with your Sokaku. I think the Dance of Demons gets my vote as the best and most obnoxious special in the game. The things that move can do is utterly ridiculous.

Sorry about being slow to post in here lately, I’ve just been swamped in work and have had a few big things to worry about. Fortunately though, aside from a Spanish exam on Wednesday (grr…Spanish. :arazz: I’m so horrible at it), things have cleared up on my end. If people are looking to get some practice in on something, send a message my way.

I can connect to games fine and such its just that p2p is horribly laggy for me.

It is actually better when i play on like godweapon for example.

GGPO is perfect for me though.

Pm sent yo.

A Spanish teacher here at your service…

I wont be able to make it to FRXI though…I got work…

Thanks again, Big! Hopefully I can get some more games in before I leave.

One tidbit that hasn’t been posted, I think: In case anyone was wondering why Chonshu’s air teleport is so hard to perform, I figured it out. You have to let go to neutral, then go straight to down. You cannot hit d/b during the motion.

And finally, here is one important piece of general frame data I just found:

After coming out of hit or block stun, you are throw-invincible for 24 frames!

During these 24 frames, you can still move around and attack and get hit…but you can’t be thrown! So if any of you were wondering why tick throws weren’t so effective in this game, here you go.

-Josh

Yea, this game probably has the longest lasting throw safe frames I know of. I wonder if the get-up safe frames are the same. Mind doing a test?

Hello everyone, time to begin another frame-data post!

Humbag, this one’s for you. :bgrin:

NOTES: The Duck Dance’s startup means that if you’re not already blocking when the super flash appears, you’ll get hit. Also, in real matches, level 1 is the safe version to use - the move’s value lies not in its extra specials, but in its guaranteed dizzy -> grab super or corner combo.

The numbers on his powered-up Duck Ball moves are NOT typos - he bounces away when they hit, but not when they are blocked.

Also, Duck was by far the most annoying character to do - he’s got a lot of weird moves and distance-dependent things, plus all the extra Duck Dance crap that nobody will ever use. That’s why I wanted to get him out of the way now!

NOTES: Yes indeed, Laurence is the only character in this game without a feint.

The data for the mash A special and the S-Power applies to a cornered opponent; outside the corner, these moves become very unreliable and are not recommended.

-Josh

on chon sus note, yeah knew that already. also, its the same for his air super. why, i really don’t know. cause with kim you can just do a hcf then uf and do B+C and hell still do his super. but chon, nope. also yeah, that throw invincibility is pretty bad, too fucking long. usually resort to overheads instead of throws when ticking in offense.

p.s. feinting wont shorten the timespan of being able to throw right? for instance with geese, you can do a d+B, b+B and cancel it to 360+C the throw will come out. its not too slow, meaning the frames are over? that b+B is godly at times, really. terry f+B cant compare, not even close.

Hey Mr. Big, I dont know if you’re gonna make it to FRXI or not, but if not how about I chip in to sponsor you to EVO World???
