@ExposedD You’re very ignorant if you think season passes are any different than day 1 DLC, hell season passes are technically day 0 DLC. In many cases it’s impossible to tell when the active development of a game stops and when DLC is given thought, but season passes specifically are a publisher’s/developer’s way of saying “hey we know this game will sell well so while we are developing the game we are thinking of what content to cut from the main game so we can sell it to you for more money seperately”. The very concept of a season pass presumes there definitely will be DLC, rather than maybe the developer is interested in making DLC after the game is finished which as I said before is how it should be. You have to learn to walk before you run, you really can’t argue with that.
Anyways I’m still very excited for The Evil Within and we have 1 hour of game play:
But all DLC has to be planned in advance. It’s not like the non-season-released-later DLC is like them hanging about after game release and like, “Hey, let’s drop our current projects and go back to work on this game we finished earlier and pull all our dudes from the various teams they’re at now.”
Artorias DLC was completed canceled content from what I understand so it’s not exactly like it wasn’t being worked on before the game was finished or anything.
Frankly I don’t care when the DLC was planned, I care about the quality of it. Plan the DLC from day 1, I don’t care as long as the final product doesn’t suffer for it, and the DLC is worth the money. I don’t pay for season passes for the same reason I don’t donate to kickstarters, I don’t pay money for promises, I pay money for actual content. When there is real content i can see and judge then you’ll potentially have my money.
^ I do believe in supporting kickstarters, it’s one of if not the most powerful tool consumers have against whatever markets said consumers are interested in, but I’m aware of the risks so if I get fucked over by a kickstarter I donate to I’m blaming myself more than the creator of the kickstarter because it’s my job to protect myself against bad business ethics. As far as I’m concerned Shinji Mikami can do no wrong. He’s consistently made amazing games for his entire career. I bet even that Goof Troop game he made is sick as hell. So I will be getting this one.
This trailer was put up 3 days ago and i didn’t think of posting it here , but after watching it again i was like “meh”… watch it !

So I’ve been watching a stream of TEW on PS4 for a little bit now. I don’t know where he is and I won’t spoil what’s happening exactly, but Ive seen a big action sequence that wouldnt have been out of place in RE5/6. Looks great but I’m not sure this is going to be the slower paced survival horror game I thought it would be.
Resident Evil has always had big action sequences, what people dont like are infinite ammo and endless explosions.
I don’t want to spoil anything but just trust me, it went above and beyond an old school RE action sequence. It did look like there was a pretty limited amount of ammo though.
Not that this bothers me personally. A lot of what I saw reminded me of RE4. Maybe this is what RE5 would have been if Mikami hadn’t left.
My cash is on deck, and tuesday from 3pm to whenever will be spent playing this game. my body is ready

I actually put a lot of faith into this game, and it’s probably been years since I’ve been hyped for a triple A title. I was fooled again…

The atmosphere looks creepy, but it did look actiony(Not saying that’s a bad thing). The bowgun thing they talked about looks powerful and all encompassing. It explodes, thunder gives you crowd control, you can freeze opponents. Was not expecting a weapon like that at all to be in the game.
Mikami is that nigga though. Can’t remember me ever being disappointed in one of his projects.
Hope borderlands outsells this. You dont go up against the gawd
Borderlands sucks. And fuck Gearbox for releasing that piece of shit Aliens game. They knew Colonial Marines was a half assed game that they put as little effort as possible into (while leeching money from Sega for its entire development period to apparently fund Borderlands development costs) but released it anyway. The lack of integrity involved made me decide to never buy one of their games again. They seem a little too willing to put their names on crap.
