Yes, unfortunately people will likely continue to buy their shitty games. But who am I to tell people how to spend their money? Have fun.
If you’re thinking of purchasing the Evil Within, wouldn’t this be a hypocritical statement? You’re basically saying “Ew, I hate brown shit. I rather eat green shit!”
I mean at the end of the day; they are both shit.
Gearbox has a record of making shit. Either boring games they actually developed or terrible games they just slap their name on and try to sell people (Colonial Marines and Duke Nuke’em).
On the other hand, Shinji Mikami is one of the greatest developers of all time. Never played a game of his that wasn’t good. So I’d say he’s earned the benefit of the doubt, not that I think TEW looks bad to begin with.
This is a really retarded conversation though, so just play whatever you want. I’m just some guy from the internet, who cares what I say?
I don’t think you understand how the internet works.
this is great ! one idiot who came in here to say that the game is shit and
another idiot who wanted to say that he hoped borderlands would outsell the evil within.
how about you and your tastecancer gtfo of this thread and go post your shit opinions
about whatever game in the unpopular opininon thread. OK?
Leave this thread to the people who likes TEW.
Stupidest complaints ever.
So the game isnt bad but theres “too much action”
Resident Evil 1 didnt even age with grace. This scary=/=action thing is annoying. Fear doesnt have to be a dark room with eerie music all the damn time.
@ExposedD you seem emotional
the very first review of the game is up
To be young and naive. Man, I remember those days, luckily I grew out of it quickly.
Having actually playing the game, I’m enjoying it quiet a bit. Gameplay is rather fun, it basically feels like a better RE6 and a clunky RE4.
As for the horror elements, they are literally none existence. The game has some of the most hilarious jump scares I’ve ever ran into. I keep bursting out in laughing as to how the game tries to pull off horror moments, but I feel like it’s intended (perhaps mocking older games with such keep scares). If it’s a spoof, it did a really good job.
The game is basically pure action, all the way up to the final parts of the game. You’ll find yourself mowing down monsters in long hallways with power weapons and the best round house kick in the world, all the while as you giggle with the story elements.
Fun game, thinking of doing a second play through.
Sounds perfect to me. And after playing games like Godhand and Vanquish, I don’t think I’d be shocked if it really was intended to be a spoof, to a degree anyway.
So this game is Shadows of the Damned 2.0?
Actually, yeah, I would say this game is on par in terms of Godhand and Vanquish when it comes to the style. I can’t put my finger on it, but there is that touch… I dunno.
Also, I’m currently watching a streamer going through his first play through and he’s running the game at 60 fps.
No glitches or hiccups so far, looks to run just fine at 60 fps.
the game is exactly what many thought it would be , a resident evil 4.5 with a touch of silent hill.
played for about 10 hours now and i am loving it. The only complaint i have is the ridicilous sys requirements the pc version has.
unless you have a monster computer you won’t be getting steady framerates at a high resolution , makes me think
it is poorly optimized for pc , so for future buyers - console would be ideal.
also if you are looking for a good review of the game , watch the gametrailers one. it’s very on-point!
I hope this game is actually scary, I’m waiting until Steam Christmas sale to cop TEW same with Alien: Isolation.
What kind of performance are you getting?
Going to finish Alien Isolation first before I start downloading this game. I have to make room on my HDD for this like I did with Wolfenstein: TNO.
I gotta get another HDD. Most games are coming out at 40GB+
This game runs like ass on consoles too, at a weird resolution+wonky framerate:
Seems like even if your PC isn’t anything special, that it’ll still outdo the console versions.
Unlike the rest of you guys, I won’t be surprised if TEW turns out to be heavy on the action because Mikami said in an interview last year that it would be an action/horror game not pure survival horror this is the guy who directed RE4 so what did you really expect @PozerWolf ?
Also while I take SRK’ers opinions with a grain of salt, I especially wouldn’t trust exposedd as this thread proves he makes a Tango Gameworks PR rep look like a completely bjective critic.
Go play the game instead of sitting just assuming what you think it’s gonna be.
“Survival horror” is , in a nutshell , a scary game with limited resources.
TEW is more survival horror than RE4 is by a longshot as you have to be ALOT more cautious about ammo conservation.
What opinions of mine is it that you are taking with grains of salt zoo? please enlighten me.
you feel like season passes are like uhh unfair cuz like uh they originally suppose ta
like uhh be part of the uhh full game? hahaha , or? cmon , lets hear it zoo.
I’ve finished the game and it is everything a fan of Mikamis prior works could wish for ,
so when i see people post stupid shit , they get called out. it’s simple.
@Sonicabid
My buddy has a PC which meets the recommended requirements (i7, 4g vram ,8 gb ram) and a 360.
We tested it out and from what i could see the game had a better framerate on xbox 360 (…) sooo err yeah…
edit : even pewdiepie is playing it on PS4 instead of pc , lol
Because that nigga was all like “yo, we gonna make this a horror game, like when you were a kid and got all scared and shit. We want that kind of feeling” and like… nah man that didn’t happen.
And it’s not like “pozer you’re getting older so none dat shit is scary” no cause PT fuckin scared me and I played that game expecting pure shit cause of that shitty trailer they had of “real people” playing the game. But that fuckin ending… THAT FUCKIN ENDING!!
Why can’t more games be awesome like PT :[
