well, this just changes everything for me: The Evil Within Season Pass announced
"*Bethesda Softworks has confirmed a Season Pass for The Evil Within. Priced at $19.99, the Season Pass will offer access to three planned add-ons for the game.
The first add-on puts players in the role of The Keeper (or the Boxman) in a âsadistic collection of mission-based maps.â The second and third add-ons are a two-part, story-driven experience where players become Juli Kidman, The Evil Within protagonist Sebastian Castellanosâ mysterious partner, and encounter âunthinkableâ enemies across new areas.*"
Thatâs what sucks. Even with great teams and leads , they still have to listen to the publishers. I still have to pick up ZombiU for my horror fix and Bayonetta 2 drops in October, so the wait wonât be bad âŠfor me at least.
Bethesda has been taking good care of the game and iâm sure they will continue to do so long after
the release of the game. With that said i want to take my hat off and express gratitude for doing what they do.
They have been properly promoting the game hyping it up since the title âthe evil withinâ was revealed (like way back)
They have had Pete Hines attending to ALL OF THESE different events to talk about the game.
Hell they were even smart enough to send the E3 demo to Pewdiepie , i think that says alot really.
Arenât you the one who is like the biggest fan of DLC? Why then would you have a problem with a season pass for upcoming DLC?
Dark Souls has done this and i havenât seen ANYONE say anything about that (maybe becauseâŠthere is nothing âwrongâ about it , perhaps?)
I have no idea where the hell you are coming from or why the hell you are complaining , so this is a all-time low for you ZOO !
Your opinion is your opinion , no matter how shitty it may be , and nobody can take that from you. But you are easily blind if you
donât see the good that Bethesda has done for the title so far.
And finally⊠I have never bought any DLC ever. Simply because i donât like DLC. (shocker)
Yup. And he fails to distinguish the difference between P(re)LC and actual DLC with the correct intent. Artorias of the Abyss was not planned while the game was in active development to nickel and dime customers the way all season passes are, it was an after thought to please fans who wanted more which is how all DLC should be. Developing a game with PLC planned from conception of the game is the direct cause for lower quality final products with blatantly omitted content sold seperately in the name of a quick buck. When a developer/publisher is finished making a game that is when they should start to think about what more they could have done or if there is anything that they couldnât include during development due to time and budget concerns, hell the profits from the sale of the game should fund DLC ideally. Super Mario Galaxy 2 is largely all the unused assets and ideas from the first one so technically that entire game is DLC
Still have no idea why you are whining , and yes i have read the article you linked. What about it?
The first thing they mention there is EA. AndâŠYou know EA , right?
When i said that Dark Souls has done the same thing i wasnât referring to the Artorias of the abyss DLC,
but the 3 part Sunken Crown DLC (DS2) which came with a season pass - http://darksouls2.wiki.fextralife.com/DLC
If it would have been something like day-one DLC then i would understand why somebody would get upset
or say something like : âhey bad business practice!â. That is clearly not the case here, though.
If anything people should be happy that they announce more UPCOMING (keyword) content.
Season pass or just buying it directly dosenât matter much. Think of a season pass as getting a giftcard which
lays in a drawer and then gets spent after you find it again a month later. I do not see anything wrong with it , but you do for some reasonâŠ
Donât really care who on SRK decides to buy the game day 1 or leave it for a purchase down the road ,
the bottomline is that i am going to enjoy the hell out of this game regardless of what the internet thinks and feels.
edit : i am as much of a fanboy as you are a survival horror fan zoo (the guy who never played silent hill)
lol ;-)) maniggez !!
