The E3 2020 thread but not really... - Thanks for playing! We will continue at a later date!

Why?

Well that is factually untrue because the trade show aspect was very important to smaller developers. However, that wasn’t the angle I was looking at this from. As a gamer having all the major devs come together and show us what we had to look forward to for the next 6 to 12 months was great. Given the multitude of announcements over a couple of days, there was usually something for everyone. Plus the large “captive” audience gave small to midsize companies a cheaper way to reach a large swath of gamers.

I’m not sure but I think M$ want us to know that Halo Infinite will be there at their showcase

Because it’s Dante. I rather have him than Raidou.

Oh. Meh. He’s not good. He didn’t make the cut for my team and his role in the game is pretty minimal over all. Best part about him is the boss and even those are just ok imo. Raidpu fits way better lore wise and setting wise. Dantes as out of place in the game as Kanekos DTs where in DMC3.

It’s also hardly talks DMC2 Dante, shits pretty blah imo.

But I get the disappointment in his absence I guess.

Key word was. It’s ballooned to something of a mess. E3 back when it was a trade show with little press coverage sure. But as they got bigger, without a sponsor alot of smaller and indie devs gets the boot. The Devolver digital fair that used to take place across the street was in protest of E3.

And that was never the intent of E3, E3 was were retailers and distributors can make private deals with publishers and studios. Things like Toys R Us having an exclusive version of the GBA was hammered out behind closed doors of a conference room at E3.

E3 was never was intended for us.

That was never really was the case.

CES is where you want to go if you are small time, not E3. And unlike E3, CES isn’t a bloated dieased carcass. CES don’t allow cosplayers and attendees who comes for vacation. Its there to conduct business.

In the end, next year you would hope that some other coordinated efforts could be used to bring the messaging in a less jumbled fashion. This thread has helped but if you are just a laid back casual gamer browsing stories about smaller games would be buried under the big hype games in terms of coverage. I completely forgot what it was at that one stream for several smaller Japanese publishers besides I think announcing NeoGeo Pocket ports.

Ever since the 1st promos/videos for Ghost of Tsushima came out. The main character in this game reminds me of Hanzo Hasashi

Scorpion always stated that himself and his clan are not ninjas, so…

EDIT: True. It’s probably a diss.

Still, the main character gives Scorpion vibes.

That was Sub-Zero, not Scorpion

I’m weirdly working on a Wednesday (I usually only work, Fri, Sat, Sun) so I’m going to miss the Bamco presentation.

I’ll update when I can though.

I can’t find Bamco’s live stream placeholder anywhere. The event starts in less than an hour though.

4PM PT

So should be 7 ET

Yeah I know that part but most of the presentations have place holders.

Also, I thought it was later than it was

I know they got all the Jump franchises on lock (will probably give the Switch version of Jump Force a trailer) but I can’t think of a future game outside of a new DB game which could carry a whole presentation. Maybe JoJo or My Hero Academia but those are stretches.

Prob may have dlc 2 for Kakarot…which I’m gonna just take a guess is the Return of F content…that’s prob gonna be disappointing like the Battle of the Gods content.
