tried a new trick to go neutral instead of my three sixty im getting it a little more consistently. as for team combinations he should already have been used as a solo damage player. otg assist rarely benefit a whole team or serve extra purposes, he can mix up and deal high ends of damage on his own.

also yes if you tk the MS then you will always connect anywhere on the screen. apparently MS moves faster when sj’d

How do you cross under for the web throw loop? Im dashing and then hitting S but no luck…

its kinda fast i guess you could say but when you hit the second forward input hit S around the same time and then immediately press up and you will see spidey cross up. then work the timing from there.

interesting I had been trying to do it with 2 attk buttons and got ZERO luck, second try with FF motion and bingo…Is it even possible to dash using the 2 attk buttons and pull it off?

I really don’t understand why webswing comes out when you cross up. Are you supposed to delay the tk web throw for a second?

its not really a delay its more like youre not hitting neutral so your forward plus S is also registering as back since you crossed up and then the half circle finishes the dp motion. if you dash hit S alone then do the motion for web swing youll have more success thats what i did.

manual dash in general is faster. command dash is only good for wave dashing. command dash has to be exact so you would have to do it at the very first frame spidey is able to move again from the web throw. by manual dashing you are in a sense buffering the dash so he dashes as soon as possible allowing for you to go neutral and hit S with enough time to cancel into web throw.

Thanks for the clarifications xero. I’ve been having a lot of trouble yesterday with getting the webthrow to come out, as a webswing would usually come out instead. Hopefully, I’ll see some improvement in that department after work.

yeah just try separating them in your head when doing them. remember you are doing ff then pressing S andme not running them together at the same time

i dont think this is the case as i tried doing the move with using the two attack buttons to dash instead of the inputs and you still get webswing sometimes. the thing that really helped my was to not input the web throw motion so quickly. you dont need to input it very fast at all so once i slowed down on the last part i can get it pretty consistent and no web swing comes out. already had my mate fucking RAGE big time over it.

Has anyone worked out how this works? Is it merely a timing issue?

It’s been discussed in the setups/combo thread. You need to Tiger Knee the Maximum Spider for it to connect. The reason is that the MS comes at a downward angle (since you super jumped from the Tiger Knee motion) so it doesn’t have to travel as far.

I’ve been practicing the web throw loop (doesn’t work on everyone BTW, for example zero, you can’t dash to the other side).

Sometimes I am in the groove and can pound them out, but this is what’s really bugging me:

sometimes, instead of heavy web throw, I’ll get a light web swing?!?!!?

WTF!?!?!? I turned on input display to see if I was touching something else but I’m not. The inputs are picture perfect but the piece of shit spiderman will just sometimes do light web swing. WTF is that all about? I feel like if I cancel launch into H. web throw too fast, a light swing comes out instead.

OH and BTW something interesting: you can use the doom rockets OTG to set up this infinite from almost mid screen to anywhere in the corner.

If only I could master doing it I would run spiderman like no other.

this only ever happens to me when i cross up an OTGed opponent with a dashing chain into 5D -> web throw - it will turn into some other move. even if i know that i will cross up, i can’t get the webthrow out by reversing the inputs. if i could manage to do that, there’d be a couple of loops / infinites with web throw i could imagine would work.

edit: just found a way of getting the crossup web throw reliably. making a vid of a corner infinite now.

edit2: scratch that, im gonna post it here:
corner jump in, dash A,B,C,421C, j.B,B,C,/, [6[6],D,321469C (or 321412369C)] x N.
the hard part is getting behind them (by perfectly dashing every time and delaying the D slightly), and getting the web throw to come out.

you’re side switching midway through the hcb motion, thus giving you a dp motion instead. wait just a moment longer until fully sideswitched before starting the hcb motion.
