The future of fission power, or should I say, the past? We’ve known about safer and simpler Thorium Fission reactors since the 1950s, but it was originally abandoned because its waste was not useful for making Bombs. Uranium used by today’s reactors is unsafe and is rare. Thorium is as common as lead. After the U.S., France, U.K, Japan, and even Norway has apparently ignored Thorium reactors, China and India are stepping up to lead the way. A Thorium Fission reactor can be made near cities, allowing for other bonuses such as using the excess heat produced by the reactor to heat houses and businesses.

You know what’s really funny? The Republican party was the party of Abraham Lincoln. The party that, for the most part opposed slavery and was in favor of civil rights. Black people who were registered voters from the late 1800’s until the 60s or 70s were generally members of the Republican party because it was seen as a more progressive party. It was always the Democrats who held back progress during the Civil War era, the Civil Rights era, etc. And now, it’s like both parties have switched sides. I’m trying to find the link but I remember watching a documentary that tried to make the point that the moves to give Women “equal opportunity” in the workforce was merely a plan by the elite to get more money i.e. taxes. The idea is that with the traditional family where the wife stayed at home, cooked cleaned etc the government was only getting half of the taxes they could get from families with one person working.
I disagree but it is an interesting point of view
