I dash for everything. unless the dash leaves me at some obvious disadvantage. Then I won’t. But for the most part I’m dashing the entire time. Jumping a lot too. and I mean a LOT!
i live in cali. im the one with the orange sweatshirt (LUL) at ffa.
youtube renic alex and you see how i do IT
Damn… Good stuff. I’m nowhere near that good
Wish I lived close enough to go down to FFA…
Edit Granada Hills!? Fuck, I really need to get that license now…
A license and a car will do wonders dude…
SN3S, where you at son?
Hey all! I’m new into this whole SF3S thingie and I just wanna get better and all that. Thing is I recognize I suck but don’t know what I’m supposed to do to get better. I’ve read pretty much everything but I think that If I could have some solid pointers, or just be yelled to “STOP DOING THAT SHIT!” I might get better.
Well, thanks a lot and here’s a vid so you can judge. It’s a kaillera match and I use keyboard.
The Makoto player is much better than I.
hey you’re hispanic! omg me too.
Motherfucking Bakersfield… about 2 hours away from Granada hills. Thing is, I’m still on permit and I doubt my parents would sit in the car while I drove all the way out there for Ranbats every few weeks
I’m a bit better than Futch IMO, but I still can’t link up worth shit… I gotta stop playing Kaillera until I can get the basics down
And I’ve got a few more n00b questions:
On the J.Lk, how fast do you need to do the command for grab/powerbomb/etc? Because today in matches, I’d throw out the Lk, and then the second I landed I swore I’d do the powerbomb, and yet I’d always get grabbed/ hit out of it. Maybe I’m just not as fast as I thought…
Also what’s a good follow up after a S.Lp/Lk? Another Lp/Lk or EX Flash Chop?
I guess you mean me, aight? I’m from Argentina and all that, hahaha. And that match I posted… fuck I sucked in that one. I prefer using Ken and Dudley but there’s just something about Alex that makes me wanna play with him. Yang is cool too, but whatever. This is all for Alex love.
Must be the fact he fucks up his clothes before each fight.
And SN3S, If you got the power meter… I think you always go for the most damaging stuff.
alright you guys here is the one thing every alex player should know.
http://wiki.livedoor.jp/sf3_3rd/d/䥰
current match up list. Alex has an advantage over three characters
Q Twelve Hugo and Sean.
Otherwise you lose.
I’m looking at that list, and there are some things I disagree with:
Akuma vs Alex is 6-4 for Akuma - I think it is 7-3 for Akuma
Ibuki vs Alex is 6-4 for Ibuki - I think it is 7-3 for Ibuki
Necro vs Alex is 5-5 - I think it should be 6-4 for Alex
Twelve vs Alex is 6-4 for Alex - I think it should be 7-3 for Alex
Akuma and Ibuki can keep Alex away all day if they wanted to, Akuma ESPECIALLY, with his good teleport.
Apart from SA1, Necro has no real consistent anti-air vs Alex. I might be playing the wrong Necro players, but I feel that Alex has a good advantage in this match, and doesn’t have trouble getting close, unlike other matches. EX Slash Elbow is very useful here, when timed well.
Twelve vs Alex, this one is arguable to myself… but I still think Alex has a strong advantage in this one.
Honestly I think the only match up Alex has in his favor is Sean.
Hey dander while your on your MM spree my twelve vs your alex?
What about Hugo and Q? Shouldn’t be too hard as well I thought…
Poor Sean…
Though I’ll admit his double shoryuken he had on Second impact?
It was really good…
But onto the topic, yeah he shouldn’t really have a problem against Q or twelve…now Hugo might pose a threat, “might”, but alex probably wins on that matchup.
12 is more of a threat than hugo could be…Alex is like a faster version of Hugo with more options.
I’m not even on an MM spree, everyone keeps throwing out matches in my direction, and I can’t just say no to everyone. I’ll play but not for like 20 either because I only have so much money in the bank. Maybe like 10 ft 5 or something or 3/5 it’s been a while since I’ve really used Alex too… but if you really want I’ll try.
Akuma and Ibuki match ups aren’t that dire.
Shit, 12? Easy money.
because we have gotten used to decent akumas and amazing ibukis.
Can you explain a bit?
Defensive Akuma’s are hard IMO, and they completely dictate the pace of the fight because of the air fireball.
Ibuki’s hop HK is a weaker version of Elena’s Bk HK.
Ken beats Alex more often, but I find it much more frustrating to fight Akuma or Ibuki than Ken.
