How’s the air fireball being used against you? Try using Slash Elbows or dashing under air fireballs and fuck Akuma accordingly. There’s random other shit you can try depending on the situation.
As far Ibuki’s far HK is concerned…
Have I ever told you how much I love standing MP? It’s so fast. Motherfucker trying to get in your grill? MP OUT. Cancel into moves when appropriate. Lot’s of flexibility from that MP.
Use that and Toward MP to shut down Ibuki’s HK and MK overhead. Snuffs them during start up. Hell, you can even try using T.FP to stop fuckers from spamming this garbage. Even if you trade it’s in your favor.
Quick fun tip-Ever block an Ibuki c.HK and don’t know how to respond? HEADBUTT THAT BITCH! Yes it’s FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
By the way, I’m going to stop bowling wed. nights now, so Ima be coming back to RFC…maybe if you keep recording that, I can record the people playing and make it PIP videos, so people see how we get HYPE>
and he means the close roundhouse not the crouching roundhouse…that though only comes after the fact that she didn’t sj. cancel. I found that out after playing against Tony’s (feints) Ibuki so much.
niggah you gay…and that would be bad ass. We’re likely getting another machine soon so we can start running tournaments again, and if you really do decide to come back more seriously we can even tape the top 8 matches in that format. Shit would be sick.
But it’s true, I haven’t felt so manly after using a move in a videogame since the punch in the sack from Johnny Cage back in MK2.
And this is so much better, I just feel awesome when I headbutt people. Especially women in this game because they kick my ass so much (Ibuki, Makoto, Chun, Elena) they all rape me.
how do you do you alex’s corner juggle with jumping down Fierce, I dont have the game on ps2 and this isnt something you can practice in game alot. Is it worth going for the standing Roundhouse?, or should i just do forward fierce or cl.mk xx ex slash
It all depends on the angle they are coming in at.
If they are jumping in and waiting to parry you, I would suggest Stand MP xx EX Rising Knee. Hard to parry it cuz it’s so fast.
If they are in the air (close) I would try Dwn HP (1 hit, anti-air) then grab them with normal MK Rising Knee.
Anti-crossup or anti-air (needs good timing) is Twd+MP
Jump MK is good air-to-air
Twd HP is great if they are slightly far.
If all else fails, just block.
Alex has a good amount of anti-airs, it’s just that they are almost all slow/risky. The fastest one is EX Rising Knee, but if that is blocked or parried, GGPO Alex.
I’m not too great with footsies and meatys, are there any good wake up games other then Stampede, Jab DDT’s, and random pokes? I’m sure there are but since I’m still learning kara throws and and i am horrible with EX moves on a controller I have limited playability.
Learn to use EX Slash elbow. It’s one of Alex’s most useful moves to get in, and it beats whiffed/missed pokes. It’s great.
Wakeup = you block
Or LK Stomp.
Don’t do LP DDT. Don’t randomly poke
UOH xx SA2 = not worth the risk. I have only connected like once outta 20 times, cuz it’s a strange link… however ppl keep getting hit by SA2 because they naturally try to throw after UOH.
Still not a viable tactic, it’s a shenanigan
Learn Alex’s ticks
Dwn LK into kara-throw
Dwn LK into LP Powerpomb
Dwn LK into LP Flash Chop
Stand LP into Karathrow
I just got introduced to SF3 a couple months ago and a friend pointed me to shoryuken since im able to decent in the local scene but lack advanced tactics. Plus it was a simpler transition since im not fond of playing shoto’s.
Everyone that reads this thread thinks I’m being a dick, but I’m under the impression that I know who the Panda is and you’re being trolled. There’s a slight chance that I might know “The Panda” as opposed to “ThePanda” but that’s too much of a coincidence for me to even validate by checking to see if there is more than one panda. So there.
