Jesus!! 8 frames of start-up!? Well, if you say so. I believe you. But still, Yun usually gets two or three opportunities to command grab you. Alex’s Power Bombs connect rarely, though.
But what do you mean by Range Differental? I don’t understand…

Yeah, Powerbomb is mad slow, but wiki says that startup is only 7 frames (still really slow). Another thing that should be considered when comparing the two throws is meter gaining and positioning. Yun gains healthy meter which he can use for high damage output. Alex gains meter, too, but the amount he gains is not nearly as dangerous compared to that gained by Yun. Why I’m trying to say is that Power Bomb puts Alex closer to EX, but Zenpou Tenshin (er, however you spell it) puts Yun closer to Genei Jin.
Further more, Alex ends up about half a screen away after power bomb, which means you have to make you way back again. Yun ends up right next to his opponent after dash punch or whatever kind of shenanigans you want to pull off.
OK, but what would the numbers be like if you didn’t consider any difference, I mean, what are the bare numbers like?
Communism works… IN THEORY.
Why are you quoting frame data here? Yes throw beats out all of these moves, but only if both commands are entered at the same time, or if throw is entered before Chun’s moves. At this point you might as well start talking about how meaty throw destroys Chun. My point your frame argument is based on an assumption that cannot be made.
Oh, I didn’t realize that you use dash to time that stuff. That’s what I get for skimming this thread. My apologies.
does anyone else here use c.lp, c.lpxxsa2?
If you think he can only do a low forward when he’s at command grab range, you’re very wrong.
Well I am just curious, what can Yun do at that distance (outside of towards+forward kick) besides those things. Not being funny or anything but I would really like to know?
You seriously use other supers against certain characters? And c.lpx2 x super is better as a hit confirm. Although I don’t doubt it could be a chain.
edit: I really like to know what characters do you use stungun or hyperbomb on?
marvel baby
Stungun…!? OH MY!
The thing is, Alex doesnt really rely on landing Boomerang Raid to win matches, all he needs is knockdowns and ex meter. As it has been already mentioned a zillion times, Boomerang Raid gives you the most ex stocks. Your question is almost like asking “how do you use Yangs SA2 in the Ken matchup?”.
If you want an answer meaty close mk into boomerang works well in Kens wake up game and sometimes I use meaty uohxxSA2. Its good to throw the uoh from time to time, specially if the opponent is expecting low short mixups.
wow! I diagree with almost everything you just posted.
hey alex players i need some help
so i was playing some guy using alex and he likes to use this super art (the one that jumps in and headbutt u til stun) and he always catches me when i jump away or block T___T
so how do u counter that? i play ken btw, my friend said u can do a st.jab to counter but i don’t trust him lol. maybe a fierce srk?
A well-timed jab with Ken stops the Stun Gun, provided you didn’t whiff anything (like your Shoryu).
Same thing with Alex, except you wanna use s.strong instead of s.jab. Time it right as he’s about to come down on you and you’ll knock Alex right out of Stun Gun.
Oh, and of course, Stun Gun beats Stun Gun. But that’s just ridiculous.
does mashing on jab works?
Mashing on it works about as much as it fails. You’re better off trying to time it.
thank you!
No problem.:lovin:
