Yeah I know of the glitch but collecting the cards gives me more incentive to play the game more. As for the double pack I don’t mind Harmony, both games come in the same cartridge so others can just ignore it and play Aria. I play Harmony get it just falls short compared to Aria.
Edit: Thunderbird owns everthing in that castle for free.

Harmony of Dissonance…UGH. Just awful. Its ASS. Confusing, ugly, GOD AWFUL music(seriously, its NES music, particurly after playing something like COTM). Its the worst Castlevania since CV2, because the N64 games had their moments(skeltons on motorcycles, hedge garden chase with frakenstein, the best staircase to Dracula EVER).
Edit: Sep is a smart man. Cockatrice owns the shit out of EVERYTHING, and does the most damage. However, Thunderbird hits enemies off screen. Definately helps when Dracula does that “Look at me I’m an eye surronded by bats and I’m off screen and when you touch me you lose 1/2 of your health lol”

As for HoD, different strokes for different folks. It’s still the worst in the GBA series but not the worst shit ever either.
Circle of the Moon had some great music (Catacombs + Bloodlines music yay), that coliseum mode, decent graphics… shit i loved that game…but something was missing from it that just made it feel weird.
I’m currently playing PoR and loving it. Richter is a pain in the ass to beat.
How to beat Richiter: he is weak to dark and crush damage. Cream Pie does dark, crush damage. Use that. Also helpful are Jet Black Whip and Holy Mail, but you don’t really need those. Shuriken works well, too.
I wish I knew about this thread sooner. I’ve been playing CV since 1986 and picked up a DS earlier this year to play DoS. I recently won PoR and the anniversary set on Ebay for a reasonable price but I am holding off playing it till I finish DoS (I am at the last 2 bosses; stupid 5th seal) and am taking it on vacation with me next week.

I remember them being pretty hard to get in SotN, and then getting 2 of them, ugh… but in PoR you can throw up to 3 off the bat.

EB has a bunch of copies of Curse of Darkness (ps2) for 10 bucks - Is it worth it? I havent played any of the ps2 castlevania’s. How does Curse stack up to Lament of Innocence?
Yes, it’s worth it. It’s pretty much better than LoI in every way except one (which is a pretty big one for SRK, I’d imagine): it has a simplified combo system.
