I do remember him saying something like that.
Sadly I missed SotN during the PS1 days but made up for it with the XBLA version. I played it through once and thought the game was very trivial (easy) with a corny plot and voice acting. I loved the music but I do regret wasting 800 MS points on it. The handheld castlevania are better.
-
SotN is easy. That does not take away from the game.
-
Plot? Castlevania? In the same SENTENCE? Nigga, all you have to do is kill Dracula and be done with it.
-
I loved the VAâs personally, especially Alucard.
-
Youâre a ***.
-
Canât wait for the new DS-vania! Looks hot!
what⌠the fuck
Everything Chibi just said ^2
Seriously, plot? In CV? Youâre retarded
Die you monster, you donât belong in this world.
weird thing about CV is that almost no one seems to give a shit about it in japan! i swear i only finally met castlevania gamers when i started working at a game company, and even they didnât play anything past SOTN. genuinely confusing, right? but i guess thatâs why konami chose to debut info out in the states this time, seems like itâs their main market!
Castlevania with a plot is like putting salt and gravy on bacon. Why would you do it?
Bacon w/ salt+gravy? That sounds like a good thing to me! Maybe Iâll try it out one of these days. Right after I write my will, of course
SRK ill needs a poster such as you.
Man your heart is going to get the worst kind of business. The itis will be too much for you that you might just catch a rip van winkle or death itself. Well you did say youâd write a will. But just thinking about it just makes you wanna give up breathing.
Nigga you stupid
Being an easy trivial game takes away from it. A 5 year old asian can beat it with no problems.
Yes plot. I had to sit through some corny scenes with some of the most horrendous VA trying to explain itâs plot.
Bottom line, donât be a butthurt sotn ***. The game was good for its time but not having played it the first time and playing it in 2008 shows how bad this game really is. I wouldnât recommend anyone to waste their money on SotN other than for nostalgia value.
The handheld games are almost as easy as sotn⌠O_o
Yâknow what, Iâm going to just disagree w/ you saying that the game is âbadâ, and leave it at that.
(I.E, enough talk, have at you!)
And I wouldnât recommend anyone listen to you either buddy.
SotN is practically a pre-requisite if youâre even mildly interested in Castlevania in any form, or wonder where the hell the DS-vaniaâs got their foundation to begin with.
Well super easy games with a bad menu system, VA and plot leaves little redeeming value. Like I said at the time it was awesome because it was Castlevania with RPG elements with metroid type exploring and backtracking. The butthurt people flaming me are just idiots stuck on nostalgia.
No shit son when it comes to the newer Castlevanias to the new young generation of gamers but guess what? SotN isnât the first Castlevania. So no, it isnât a pre-requiste to any castlevania in any form. If anything it was the original Castlevania and Simons Quest for the NES. I bet you say the same thing about Final Fantasy 7 being pre-requisite of any Final Fantasy game. ROFL
Now I recommend no one listens to you.
Is the XBLA one the direct PS1 version? If so, I could see cheesy voice acting. Although admittedly I like the old cheesy acting for humorâs sake (and Alucard sounded badass).
If it is the direct PS1 port, then you might like the version of SOTN that came with Dracula X Chronicles. It has updated voice acting, proper translations and such.
@_@
You donât go into CV expecting a plot. You. Just. Donât.
The VA thing is a matter of opinion. I like them
And I already conceded to you regarding the difficulty (the menu system I had no issue with).
I still think the game holds up well even today. Nostalgia has nothin to do w/ it.
Simonâs Quest? Sure, if youâre masochistic. Youâd have more fun ramming a 2x4 up your ass though
Well I never played the ps1 version but I am pretty sure the VA is the same. Ya some of the VA lines are classic in a humorous way like some of the Resident Evil VA.
I was thinking of replaying the game with weak weapon throughout for an actual challenge. Maybe I can find some redeeming value in that?
