cross your fingers for Julius Belmont as main character, or a new omnipotent kick ass villain besides Dracula that will take over the Castlevania throne as a bad guy.
With the popularity of downloadable games on consoles, I wonder if Konami would consider making a new game and offer it on the big 3’s online services.
And it looks like “Shanoa” was right on the mark, they clearly show her name in English on one of the pics. Bye-bye, shitty anime-style character art! :tup:
Also, new monsters? As in, they actually made (a couple) new sprites instead of reusing all the old ones? Cool.
this glyph system sounds very intriguing. we’ve pretty much been playing the same soul collecting system since aria. can’t wait!

Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia takes place in a time after the great Richter Belmont has vanished from the lands. With the once-mighty clan of vampire hunters extinct, the world has been thrown into chaos. Dracula and his armies still thrive, so it’s up to mere mortals to face off against the legendary vampire on their own. Thus, the Order of Ecclesia was born.
so when does it take place? it says after richter belmont vanishes, so I first thought that implied between rondo and symphony, since he reappears in symphony as a villain. but upon further reading it says the belmont clan is extinct… so I thought about how richter was the last wielder of the vampire killer before handing it off to the morris family, and eventually back to julius.
This game sounds really awesome. And it appears there are no Belmonts whatsoever in this one, which only goes to show that the series can continue without them.
