The Cartoons and Animation Thread

They must have knocked up the cheapest sluts they could find if they had kids.

That’s news I never expected. They did score.

Didn’t they score in the movie? I forget

That would be the luck those two have. Finally score and end up dads.

God dammit I hope so. Clone High was ridiculously good. One of the main reasons it got cancelled though was their depiction of Gandhi.

Whoever voiced JFK was the best. Lol

Also obligatory STAMOS!

I never knew what did happen to Rugrats but always assumed Spongebob killed it on it’s own.

I knew most of that already but I had no idea all the animosity started due to how the different creators and writing teams saw Angelica. I loved her and Suzie’s dynamic.

I just finished watching Gargoyles (1994) for the first time.

I knew nothing about it, but many on the net have compared it to Batman TAS so I thought Id try it.

I like the artstyle. It seems as a midway point between Disney and Batman. The use of shadow/color is great.
I also like the premise that they’re stone in the day and alive at night.
It’s funny that there are so many Star Trek actors involved. 5/7 of the TNG actors are involved.

I also like that Xanatos wasnt all mustache twirling, but always benefited even if he was helping the Gargoyles. Demona was arguably the greatest unrepentant villain overall though.

I also like that they had magical forces working against them as well as technology.
Voice acting was great. The world building was good , showing that gargoyles existed in other countries and all the revelations about characters like Owen and Fox’s mother.

Thailog was a true pimp!

Cons

I think there could have been more tension between the Gargoyles themselves and more character development. They get along too well. The most strife seemed to occur when Angela joined and they were all thirsty for her. Goliath appointed Brooklyn second in command but outisde of the episodes with Fang/Talon rivalry and 1 other episode, it felt half baked. They could have reduced the “World Tour” episodes or shown more of what Brooklyn/Lex/Hudson/Broadway were doing when the others were away. Im glad Elisa was depicted as competent and independent but the same thing applies for her.

There were a lot of unresolved characters/subplots that I wished could have been tied up in S3. Demona and Macbeth should have ended (imo Macbeth should have sacrified himself and led to both deaths)
Coldstone and his girl should have defeated the evil one.
Oberon and his gathering was built up but were almost forgotten in S3

S3 felt like a big step back. It wasnt horrible, but it seemed like a simple kids show after the epic S2. Too much kid interaction, and the colors/art work didnt feel as atmospheric as before.I liked the quarrymen angle;even though it felt very X-men esque.

S1 - 8/10
S2 - 9/10
S3 - 7/10

Overall: 8/10

Man I thought this show was never getting off the ground. It was announced what? 2 years ago?

3 years.

I’m glad to see it’s as wacky as regular show.

The TMNT Episode of We Bare Bears is probably my favorite episode in the entire series and one of my favorite cartoon episodes of all times.

So good

Not a Star Trek fan but this is cringe

That looked awful, like a bad mishmash of Rick and Morty/Final Space designed for people who DON’T like Star Trek

It looks like family guy in space with the Star Trek name slapped on it in the hopes anyone will watch it

It looks like a show that was designed by a committee of people who don’t understand the fan base of Star Trek.

It looks like someone watch the Seth McFarlane scifi show and hated that people thought that was more trek than discovery.

I like final space so I’m at least curious
