Boxing is a fight sport and it is just sad that the majority of people who think they know boxing love to shoot their mouth off as to how good fights/fighters utilize skills such as running the entire mother fucking fight and clinching your opponent just to stop him from starting to get in.

Look at Caneloās record. For his age dude is great. Kirkland is way overmatched but people donāt want to admit Canelo will continue to move forward. I thought he learned a lot facing mayweather and it shows with his fights. Granted Kirkland can hit hard and take punches, Canelo is a legit hard puncher. Ann wolf said that he wouldnāt be ready for this fight. And he got knocked out.
kirkland was rushing him down out the gate. they expected the slow canelo who takes time off during rounds and has bad stamina. you could tell they wanted to force the fight on him, well they did and canelo answered back and now james kirkland is dead

Casual fans see fights like this and think THIS is what boxing is about. Just 2 guys going in the ring and slug it out until there is a winner. Again, sorry but no. That is NOT boxing. Boxing is about the Sweet Science of EVERYTHING combined. Offense, Defense, countering, evading, clinching, ring cutting and over all ring generalship. Not just 1 dimensional style of fighting. (Which I never said btw but anyway =/)
What the casual fan calls āRunning and huggingā We who actually know, study, practice, and understand the sport call it evading and clinching. Sure, some refs take off points if you abuse the clinch too much, as they should. But overall the name of the game is to hitā¦and NOT get hit. THAT is what boxing is about. But the casual fan donāt want that, they think itās boring. They just wanna see 2 people swing to see who gets lucky and knock each others heads off.
Boxers like Andre Ward, Floyd Mayweather, Erislandy Lara and especially Guillermo Rigondeaux (Donāt worry casuals, Ill wait to you get back from google to know who that is) are what boxing is about. This is the sweet science.
