Right, I mean it looks like that kid got paid to job. I mean he threw hardly any punches. There were too many moments where he could have ended Rourke, but he simply didnât do anything.
SOOOOOO, i saw that he won his fight and i thought it was a legit professional match. So i watched it an holy shit⌠it was so fake. Anyone who knows boxing knows that fight was just wrong⌠The guy he fought didnt punch, I dont know if he even knew how to punch, and rourke had terrible defense and punchs⌠and like showboated in the middle of it⌠Apparently⌠The guy he fought is living on the streets and has a professional record of 1-9 prior to the fight and was paid to throw the fight (surprise surprise!) Shit like this drives me insaneeeee. Youâre ruining the sport of boxing, and people who have no idea thinks boxing looks like WWE.
I recall an article on Vice detailing the job of such Journeyman whose main function was basically to throw fights and make it as realistic as possible.
I got to give it to Chris Algieri, his defense was pretty damn good, but he lacked the power and aggressiveness to ever go the distance against Pacman. Also, props to him showing sportsmanship even when he was losing.
I sadly must agree. Prime Pac could definitely present a real challenge, but his 2 main assets against Mayweather: Footwork and Speed arenât what they used to be. Mannyâs other attributes- KO Power and Tenacity, means little when you canât touch the man. Not to mention Mayweatherâs boxing IQ and nigh-impregnable defense would win on points alone.
But we canât forget, this is boxing. Anything can happen, and I think Mayweather is very much aware of this when it comes to facing Pacquiao.
Definitely agree, but Iâll actually be bold and make a similar argument for Mayweather. Although Mayweather is still fighting well, he hasnt looked all that great at all against guys like Maidana who are also aggressive but not as talented as manny, and I personally think his recent performances have shown some decline.
Also, in the Mosley fight he rocked him, Floyd never took a knee in the fight. Mosley didnt know how to put the pressure on
You know Mayweather doesnât take hits well. Hence his crazy ass defense. When he fought Canelo, he said that Canelo dislocated his elbow with his power. So who knows what could happen if Mayweather gets caught.
Its been confirmed that Pacquiao has offered Mayweather $100M just to say yes to the fight, and on Mayâs camp it is said that they are paying Cotto for a fight instead. I do not know if the later is true or not but Manny offering to pay Mayweather 100M is fact. After all this call outs that Manny has been doing, from agreeing to every demand Mayweather has given in the past, to the twitter/instagram taunting, the footlocker, the post fight interviews and this $100M offer⌠if a fight does not happen then there is no logical reason anybody should be siding with Floyd.
Iâve stated that i strongly feel Mayweather will win the fight but If Mayweather does not say yes this time, then he loses to Manny by default.
I believe at one point didnât Floys offer Manny 40 mil and 35% of the ppv earnings? But Arum turned it down. I may be wrong, but I do think that Arum is a big reason why there have been sooooo many different stories, well him and Floyd with his antics. Manny obviously wants to fight though.
I read a lot of theory boxing here of who wins the fight between Pac vs Floyd, I think yaâll not giving too much thought that is Pac as a SOUTHPAW vs Floydâs shoulder roll defense.
He offered Manny 40 million but 0% PPV earnings from what I recall in one of Mannyâs interviews. Itâs up to others to believe whoâs telling the truth on that one. Arum maybe a reason but i donât think that is any reason for a FIGHTER to say no to such a challenge and such a guaranteed paycheck.
Well I just checked ESPN and they donât have anything about Manny offering $100M and you didnât give any links, so Iâm not sure why exactly you think thatâs a fact. The only facts that are important to me is that initially the fight was agreed to by Mayweather and Arum, until Pacquiao shut it down over drug testing. Everything after that is Cirque de Soleil.
It was stated in the WBC twitter page, and Manila Bulletin. Manny offered Floyd to take 100 million from the purse. I think that if Manny did agree to the drug testing at first, various new ridiculous demands would have followed just like when he eventually agreed to it. I think itâs time the Floyd fans need to stop making an argument that Manny never wanted to fight even during the 1st time.
Mayweather did not say no to this yet so the response is pending and hopefully he will agree.
If this is all true then the only I think Pacquiao will win is if he fully drops all his extra careers (starting now) and focuses on the fight. Also, I have no idea why people have been saying Mayweather has been avoiding the fight (and pacquiao too) when everybody should be on speculation if boxing has been storylined. I donât mean that Boxing has pre-determined results but the build ups, especially between these two, has got to be some wwe shit.
Do people actually think that Manny just shifted into an online trash talker? I bet he doesnât even know jack shit about what goes on in âhisâ Instagram/Twitter accounts.
