Pacquiao agreed to the drug testing. As I recall, the deal breaker was the money. Mayweather basically wants all the money. IIRC, he offered $4 millions to Pacquiao while he would take all the rest.

Pac agreed to drug testing…after being called out for having mad tats, yet claiming to be afraid of needles. Remember the whole “not within 14 days before the fight” bullshit?
You can Google the shit and find the articles from back then detailing it, I’m sure, but Freddie Roach and Arum all were initially like “Yeah, we can do these tests. No problem.” And then Pac started backtracking with his nonsense and then the dialogue became “Floyd can’t dictate terms to us!”, “WADA is flawed”, etc… And then of course, Pac sued Golden Boy and Mayweather which is when it became clear that shit wasn’t going to happen.
Most boxers don’t like giving blood because it drains them. If you watch All Access with Cotto, though he agreed to blood testing, when the tester came by, he convinced him to not give him blood because it would impede his training. Mayweather is full of these shenanigans, “Oh he bit my glove”, “Oh his glove doesn’t have padding”. You’d have to be a fool to believe these instances for a moment. These controversies bring attention to his fights and perhaps more PPV sales.
I think the blocking issue is the money. Pac wants 50-50, and Floyd can’t justify giving a big slice of the pie to Arum for “promoting” the fight. One can argue in favor of Mayweather that this is a high risk, low reward business ventures while the better options is to hype up these low level fighters whilst only giving them $1 or 2 million.

Pacquiao did agree live. You can’t really say the whole “i’m afraid of needles” was an excuse to dodge the fight, given that the Olympic Drug testing wasn’t something that current boxers did. It was after Mosley/Mayweather where Pac finally agreed, if I’m not mistaken. Every single boxer to legends such as Tyson say Mayweather is the one who doesn’t want to fight (Him beating Pac is a different topic) and you have to be a Mayweather mark to disagree. The whole “Pacquiao is using drugs” was fucking retarded and it is the main reason why i stopped watching boxing and why I ended up hating mayweather fans.
edit: I think that Mayweather is just looking for the right time like Pacquiao slowing down due to possible matches (the Marquez KO), or over occupied/out of focus due to his other careers, etc… which is smart… shitty and pathetic… but still smart.
I would suppose that if Arum was out of the equation, the fight would happen a lot sooner.

Drug use in professional sports is a whole can of worms I don’t care to get into. I think Mayweather is playing games as usual and I think there’s some other politics shenanigans involved from Pacquiao’s side.
Who gives a shit anymore? The fight didn’t happen because LOLBOXING and right now I could care less if they fought. At the time I thought Pac would win, now though Floyd probably got it. But none of that shit matters because LOLBOXING and the fight isn’t happening.

Cotto could not possibly tell them to get lost. It’s in the same style as the Olympics. Pretty non-negotiable(Otherwise it would defeat the purpose of testing if someone could tell you to fuck off).

I would love to see cotto vs golovkin and there was talks about it happening. What are you guys thoughts on that?
