What did you guys think of DeGale’s fight?

Was that like the first or second round knockout?

I think it was the 3rd round.

The atmosphere for the Froch-Groves fight is incredible.

I know man. I’m gonna have to watch the replay after work.

Licked down his claat.

AH SHIT I MISSED FROCH GROVES

so behind on boxing atm :frowning:

Cotto-Martinez is this Saturday. Who you got?

Lets go cottoooo c:

did anybody catch that donaire fight? i saw the highlights, it looked wild.

If Floyd fights and beats the winner of Cotto-Martinez for the MW title, where would you rank him all time? He’ll have won titles in 6 weight classes, from 130 to 160.

Gotta remember to watch this on Saturday, should be a good fight.

I’m not sure. I mean his skill is beyond great. But he is also boring to watch. When you look at Hearns, Ali, Tyson, there was something about their presence that made them stand out. Floyd is the epitome of textbook boxing, but he doesn’t really add much more to it when he fights.

There’s no doubt that Floyd is skilled. He has a high ring IQ, a great jab, excellent defense, and great footwork. Look at his fights with Hatton, Canelo, and Marquez to see how good his jab is.

Sorry to double post, but Pernell Whitaker was also probably considered boring, and he’s considered one of the best lightweights of all time.

I’m not qualified enough as a fan to rank him, but floyd goes down as one of the greatest of all time for me. People have tried to beat him in different ways, but all have failed. I think he is just too good for most boxers, and they really dont understand that until they get in the ring and feel that pressure, that demoralization, that wall they cannot surpass, and the speed, strength, and accuracy he gives. He is calm in the ring most of the time, and that confidence oozes out, putting fear into the hearts of his opponents. I dont think floyd cannot be beaten, but i doubt any of these pussies will ever be skilled enough to do it.

Betting against floyd is like betting against justin wong, just put your money away before you lose it. lol

Some people accuse Floyd of cherry-picking. While yes, there are people he didn’t fight, he’s still fought some good names. He fought and beat Hatton, Corrales, Genaro Hernandez, Marquez, Canelo, and Guerrero. All of them are or were champions. It’s just that those guys weren’t on his level.

It’s like Roy Jones said: “They got the nerve to say I ain’t fought nobody. I just make 'em look like nobody”.

Has Floyd ever given a rematch to anyone? I’m seriously asking because I can’t think of any.

Look at the lineup for fights this summer:

June:

Martinez-Cotto
Crawford-Gamboa
Russel-Lomachenko

July:

Lara-Canelo
Fury-Chisora II
Golovkin-Geale

August:

Brook-Porter
Kovalev

That’s a solid lineup.

He gave a rematch to Jose Luis Castillo.

Anyone watching the Martinez/Cotto fight tonight? I got the stream if anyone wants it.
