GTFO bro.
@GTSouth, the point is, we’re dividing even more now than we were. We’re already spread out to the point that we only get to play each other either at tournaments on Saturday or at local weeklies like the Huntsville crew’s Thursdays and Auburn’s Friday nights.
Because of this, all of the players in the state will suffer. This is isolating the groups that already mostly play against each other even more.
I think Rocky and Freesway know the matchups against each other pretty well by now.
The only problem is they’re closed on Sundays and Mondays.
I mean, I can see where the Auburn crew is coming from, but they’re limited in when they can do this stuff at GTSouth because of the days they’re open. Saturdays could work, but that’s when tourneys are held so that’s dead. You could try and do it during the week but with most people being busy with school and work, I really see it being hard to get a good amount of people to show up.
Seems perfect to me, you won’t have to worry about customers being turned off by the loud cursing that is inevitable at these events.
Just open for the tournament.
Ehhh, good point.
ayo 3s ppl get online now
Yessir, I’m def there. Plan to work on my 3SO this week a bit too if my dog leaves me to it long enough. Although I must say… it’s severely pad-unfriendly lol.
Hmmm…if the store was open strictly only for the league matches on either of those days and in the early afternoon then I would have no problem with it. I can’t be out very long on those days due to having to go to work at 10pm. It probably could work but only if their willing to do it that way.
With that said, Im going back to my Final Fantasy XIV marathon.
ggs today errbody.
went better than I thought.
I’m gonna keep trying to step it up. 3s is damn fun.
Yeah, its fun. I really don’t think i’ll put very much effort into it though. Trying to get good at a game that’s been out for over a decade seems kinda like a futile point. Reason why i put zero effort into mvc2 either.
Ayo whatup its ya boy Pauliwood aka Speakers Going Hammer Bro nawmean. Thanks to raekwon187 aka Sentinel on dem 22s ya boy got that xbox back b. I’ll get down in some AE wit da homies, hit up that gamertag Pauliwood aight. To keep it really 100 wit yalls ya boy’s game aint hot hot yet nawmean but willin to throw down on some shit b o let’s do it
It can actually be rather easy in some instances, since there aren’t any stones left unturned. The competition may be stiffer but the road to mastery is a well worn path.
Imagine trying to learn algebra in the 8th grade.
Now imagine trying to learn it in 100 B.C. when you’ve got tooth decay and fleas.
I’d prefer Puyo Puyo 2. Or Saturn Bomberman.
GGs to dem sf3 sessions. For some reason after sf3, I tried to parry in AE. Gotta learn how to parry then punish properly in sf3 and just learn to punish better in ae (too many opportunities for demons).
@Pauliwood, I’ll add you bro. GT is This Be Nagato
SF3 taught me how to play SF in general.
MvC2 taught me how to play marvel and to read movement.
Overall, SF3 teaches you mind games and MvC2 helps you get faster in reading crazy stuff on your screen. However, they both teach you how to play faster, at least thats how I see it. These two games is the reason I’m as good as I am in fighting games now.
sf3 is ass. Needs more jagga kicks
In a perfect world, sure, Sunday would be an option. Down the road, that option could open up for future league seasons. To those who haven’t been to the store yet and don’t know us personally the reason we are closed on Sunday and Monday is that those are the only days we have off so we don’t keel over from exhaustion. This is a business, opened during a pretty crappy economy to begin with, we actually still work a regular job just to pay out of pocket the thousands it costs a month to run a retail business in a retail location. Personally I go to work at 9pm when the store closes, I get off work at 7am and sleep only about 4-5 hours if I’m lucky and then open the store at noon. I do that 5 days in a row and then I go home for Sunday and Monday to rest, spend time with my wife and kids, and catchup on all the other responsibilities that life brings.
Eventually as the economy improves, the store will get to the point that it pays for itself and we can hire employees. Then the options definitely open up. Until then this is still a business and we have to do whats best to make it successful and not kill ourselves in the process. In addition to our game sales, console repair, etc. We have an opportunity to give a nice space for gamers to come hang and have the ability to do stuff like this league. It is a value-added service to the business and we just plain love to do it because we like the people that come to our shop.
In the end, we are running a business, we are offering something different than the corporate standard on buy & get out, magazine sales, and high prices our competitors are pushing on the gaming community. We are not forcing anyone to do anything, if the fighting community wants to support our endeavors, then that’s awesome. Come hang out and see what we have to offer and we’ll do our best to make you happy, if not, that’s cool too, it is the beauty of a free country.
