Just wondering, why can’t we have a subforum of each region for tournaments? Things would be A LOT easier that way since I know certain people don’t keep up with local threads all the time and never pay attention to the standard, “Yo, homies, check out my tournament.”

I have wondered that myself, unfortunately it isn’t up to me. I suppose that would eliminate the need for a tournament discussion area, and that’s what people are used to. This is why I put the “Atlantic South Upcoming Tournaments” thread stickied at the top of the forum, so that people can post links to upcoming tournaments there. I tried to maintain the first page for a while, but it became a bit of a hassle.
Would there be anything wrong with posting tournaments in the Atlantic South forum? We only really need one locater/matchmaking thread per state and seeing local tournaments in the respective region would help, especially in attracting OoS.
Yes, there would be something wrong with that - please read my diatribe in the rules sticky as to why we don’t want too many threads. You can blame that one on the idiots that can’t read
Again, this is why there is 1 thread at the top devoted to tournaments in this region - it is a central location for tournaments held in the Atlantic South area and the states surrounding them. If you have a tournament you want to promote, make a thread in Tournaments and Events, post a link in the aforementioned thread, then I give you permission to go spam all the other threads in the region if you like - this is the only time when I’ll let that kind of thing slide.
It may not seem to make any sense, but trust me - in the almost 10 years that I’ve been on this website, the format we have now has worked. You guys have it made nowadays - we used to have to drive for hours and hours to get to tournaments, and they were few and far between. Now there are tournaments all the time, and if we let people start making threads for all the tournaments that are happening now, all hell will break loose and no one will be able to use this area for what it is for - discussion and matchmaking.
You made a good point about Tournaments and Events, though. I’m going to bring up a possible sub forum split there or here to the administrators - if we had a separate section in either one strictly for tournaments, it might make things less confusing.
