It may not be up to Serp’s standards :p, but this is what I wanted to try after watching his anti-Phoenix video:

this is pretty good, but it would require Phoenix to get close enough for mighty smash to hit. Dark Phoenix is so strong because she can spam her cr.L/traps/projectiles and still be very safe against this kind of stuff and XFCs. If Phoenix gets too close Thor will always have Mighty Punish under his belt, so you can cancel mighty smash into mighty punish and kill dark phoenix, or if thor is on point, xfc > mighty punish.
overall the teams i consider as top teams for thor (thor/dorm/doom, thor/strange/ammy, thor/vergil/doom, thor/raccoon/vergil) have tonsssssss of answers against a dark phoenix, be it through mighty punish > DHC punish, or with halting hypers like mad hopper, stalking flare, spiral swords, or okami shuffle THC. Mighty punish into Spell of Vishanti means Phoenix cant press buttons, at all, at fullscreen distance, its a 4 frames punish. Thor Strange Ammy will always be my favorite Thor team just for how deadly and well packed its for Thor.
Another kind of anti-phoenix tech that i was thinking about was the airdash > j.S + up/down direction whiff > j.S left-right direction. I wonder if its possible after of a spark L softknockdown. I really havent tested the possibilities of this because i dont play against any phoenix offline; Phoenix got my attention because FChamp has been saying on streams that Phoenix/Dark Phoenix is a top10 character in ultimate
Thanks and like I said, your video just gave me an idea that I wanted to test out. This was in case Thor wasn’t on point because when he is on point that’s what I do to immediately kill her, xfc into Mighty Punish when she is close. Also, usually when I fight Dark Phoenix I stay in the corner because that way she can’t cross you up with B teleport which is what I used in the video.
I recently had a money match to determine who had the best Arthur in the 805. But Spidey and Thor ended up doing most of the work for me 
first match starts at 17:10. Once he got 5 wins on me, I started using spiderman at 36:00

Hello guys, i’m new to the forum but i have been checking out stuff from it for a while. I’ve recently uploaded me playing online matches against my friend and wanted to show off my team of Thor, Iron Man, and Captain America. Not too good by any means but i play with them more for the Avengers theme team. I hope this is of any entertainment and is open to criticism, pointers and tips would be most appreciated.
