Your Thor neutral game needs work. Most of the time you’re just super jumping and mighty striking in with no cover or doing strings on block and not keeping them safe somehow and I saw mighty spark underutilized the most. Ironman looked like the biggest liability in his set a lot of the time he came in and didn’t do anything. You may want consider going back in the lab and figure out some new things switch up assists maybe change team order and to kick some of those bad online habits to make your game more focused and solid. Cap looked sturdy but maybe a little out of place in anchor
Your right, i think because of my few options its hard to make stuff safe and its a struggle for me to get in. I wanted Iron man to be Thor’s combo extender and cap’s shield slash wasn’t working for lockdown and why i choose to go in raw being very unsafe. The person i was playing against told me unibeam would be a better assist to use but to me it scaled the damage to much and then i wouldn’t be able to follow up with any combo extending assist. I’ll just split the avengers up into three teams, have characters who can support those 3 well. My Iron man does need some work, its hard for me to maintain pressure or stay in cntrol of the match with him. Thank you for the feed back, nice to know an outside view of my play.
I’ve been working the relaunches into my game lately haha, getting easier to do but keeping things simpler works too. Just recorded some (2) combos, thought I’d share. It’s nothing new, but I was fooling around seeing what I could do with Joe’s bomb. Unfortunately I don’t have actual recording hardware, I’ve had a few matches I’d love to have been able to share
What you need to explain to me is why Cap isn’t on point.
Personally I would play Thor in 2nd position and use I guess keep Cap on anchor (he’s a surprisingly good one).
Like previously stated, I would really put in work learning Iron Man as he is a huge liability on your team. Get more comfortable covering your approaches and keeping them varied at the same time.
I play Thor/Dorm/IM and would love to do a long set on PSN.
I discovered something with Thor and Strange, fof loops anyone?
Here’s the thing, I think EVERY character with an 8 way dash can position the screen in such a way that allows the hard tag, some can do it with a wall bounce but this is like a random confirm into hard tag and it just works. viable? maybe, but it’s a new set up. i stole your orb tech too serp, your hashmalin right? I used your idea as a basis for what thor can do in a simple bnb and from his mighty punish. again, situational but cool. oh and his throw into hard tag can be done from multiple positions on the screen but it’s very spacing dependent so you just have to memorize how the screen is supposed to be positioned for it to work.
Thor, Cap, Iron Man is without a question the best order for that team, just make sure to combo into Mighty tornado from the ground. Iron Man is easily the best anchor of the bunch (Thor and Cap are some of the absolute worst anchors in the game).
You can get the DHC glitch off Mighty Punish by whiffing hyper charging star after Thor throws them in the air.
Cap is great with Unibeam, as is Thor.
Iron Man gets the best X-factor boost and his assist helps both of the other guys tremendously while the opposite can’t be said.
To me no other order makes sense if you’re gonna play team avengers.
Hello guys! Sorry its been a while sense I’ve posted anything the the threads but We just finished our third Ranbat tournament (out of five tournaments) and I wanted to post my matches that were on stream:
Ranbats 1.1: 24:45 (VS Forward)
Ranbats 1.2: 00:10 (VS Yawaza)
Ranbats 1.3: 35:25 (VS NinjaNam)
Hey. I picked Thor back up. Haven’t used him since vanilla. Im like 2 1/2 weeks in, I put up some Match play (casuals) plus some combos on my youtube. I seen most of Thor’s Tech from Serp (because we play the same team) and Mr. Flubbs and Royal Flush. Hope to learn more to get him tournament ready.
