It’s been a while since I watched a series, but I saw Black Lagoon being floated around for a while. I never really caught on to it until I got bit hard for some reason the other day. Watched all the eps and followed up with finding out what happened after season 2 in the manga.
If you fell off, catch up because this Roberta vs. Rainbow Six vs. Hotel Moscow vs. Cartels vs. Revy’s Random Select vs. Rock’s Poker arc is crazy.
The only thing I don’t like about it is that they pull out the “This rusted, shitty, city full of pain is painful, rusted, and full of shit.” speech at least twice per issue/ep.

I should move my lazy ass and actually update something on my own nerd blog as well (not to mention improve that banner). I don’t seem to have the motivation as I used to, but I intend to get it back!

As for the shows, you may want to cut back on only the highly recommendable shows at best. Watching almost everything, good or bad, seems like a whooole lot of effort but with so little time, it doesn’t help.
IIRC, I think that’s what Season 3 is going to cover, perhaps for it’s entire run.
The endless ED was by far, the best part about that show. Honestly that should be the entire premise of the show. Otherwise disappointing. I shouldn’t be able to identify if a character has a sister complex from the opening.
I got the distinct impression it was only trying to be cool, like it was ripping off older, more mature shows and kind of dumbing it down to a pg 13 level.
Yeah, the good always outweighs the bad. It’s not bad, I mean - but it’s not good for one with one who’d rather do other stuff during his free time or is busy with non-hobby stuff.

The visuals are really, really pretty - as has been mentioned earlier. Especially during the festival itself and Canaan’s gunfights.
Canaan herself seems to be an interesting character. Mysterious, but doesn’t hold her smile back.
:Wow at that Liang Qi intro scene. Without a care in the world or whoever’s there, she just went out nude. That’s one gutsy woman!
Also, it might be just me, but damn is it weird seeing the crowd still pleasantly going around with the festivites, while gunshots are fired and people are getting killed. Heck, those little kids were just laughing and dancing at that guy who killed himself without a care in the world. :lol:
Mino and Maria duo might be a funny/charming one. I’d expect they’d show later how Maria got to know Canaan from before.
All in all, was a very good episode. Looking forward to see more of Alphard in the next ep.

That popularity contest sure came out of nowhere! Results, however, hardly seem surprising: Hina destroys everyone. Athena at number 5 was quite interesting, though.
Was a nice development ep for Isumi. Her family is just as lost as she is! I like how her Great-Grandma was trying to kill Hayate in every way possible to get his blood and how she rubbed Maria’s ass twice for provocation reasons.
I just caught up with the manga. Totally forgot about it after watching the anime awhile back. Man, this shit is wild. I can’t wait for it to be animated.
