The OAV’s are… good, but missing something. They’d be interesting opening episodes for a series, but for OAV’s I’m expecting more story… I’ll have to check the manga. I feel there’s a lot more potential than what they’re showing.

I mean come the fuck on, what is essentially “Eureka” dies and give way to a human version of her, but with no memory whatsoever and a child’s body. So instead of getting to be with her, Renton gets to be her father. That’s shenanigans for me. I’d rather have Nia biting the dust (and in the GL movie it’s much better explained and Nia gets to be GAR) knowing she’s doing it to save the universe over “lol we trolled the Renton/Eureka fans”. They even killed Anemone, which doubly sucks.

yeah its def one of, if not my favorite manga of all time. been into it since i bought the first vollume a long time aog on a school trip (95?). and the points you made are very true about boti, thats why it was so saddening to see they made this shit into an anime. you know the only way for it to be good in anime form is big budget, or decen enough a budget and going on for 52 eps.
also wtf is up with the E7 movie. my lil bros been dl it for days now, i wanted to watch it but its still only at 62%? wtf.:lame: especially since the speed keeps fucking up, between 10 and 200 kb’s. 200 i dont mind, but at times it keeps on lingering on the 15 and 25 kb making it take forever.
I think the guys with the super-fast connections are just leeching and cutting. The rest of us peons are stuck waiting. I finally finished DL this morning and I’m leaving it on for the rest of the day, but my upload is stoned snail speed.

And the cliffhanger at the end of Bakuman isn’t bad. It has been 3 years since they started, and they’ve shown how hard the kid has been working. Anime and manga have always amazed me, since the output is 3-4 times what US comics do, and long-running anime (Naruto, Bleach, One Piece) don’t take seasons off.
