Alright people the DOGS OAV was released a few days ago yet I see no torrents for it RAW or Subs so if anyone sees it PLEASE let me know. Huge fanboi for that show so I must have it.
Anyone check out Isekai no Seikishi Monogatari, yet? Apparently, it’s a spin off to Tenchi OAV 3 Ryo-Ohki or something. Besides the main character sharing the last name of Tenchi and bearing a slight resemblance to him the setting and story are no where near similar to each other. Show is so-so with some incredibly sexy mech designs.
I won’t be afraid to admit I’m still watching it. The show is awful, but it’s the LOL BAD entertainment kind of awful. The show never takes itself seriously, so you can at least watch it for what it is if you’re just looking to be entertained (by tits).
Ah, you’re into quick recommendations then. That’s understandable and is likely a lot more easier. 'sall cool, though. =)
Sunred is freaking awesome. Love the Vamp cooking time bits and the Animal Soldiers skits.
By the way, did you check the other series the same director of Sunred was responsbile for, Seto no Hanayome? If not, give it a watch. One of the funniest series I’ve seen yet and the craziest.
Other recommendations that you may enjoy is the now running Sengoku Basara (based on the Capcom game series), Moyashimon and for the 50,000th time, Gintama.
Who’d hate on Kure-nai? Honestly, I never did see anyone hate the series. It’s hard to hate the show either, with it’s great ensemble cast.
Well it isn’t (about a normal ep size). But it’s pretty much worth it, though. Lots of funny characters, plus you get to see the anime world’s closest interpretation (though not in looks) of Arnold (yes, that Arnold).
Haha, I was surprised every time I see him mention something he likes that I like too!
^ Forgot about Penguin Musume. That might work too.
Watched Higurashi Rei 3 a bit earlier and
Higu Rei 3
Spoiler
Guess too much was going on Rika’s mind + the teasing made her snap , if only for a bit during that chair smashing scene with Satoko.
So now she has a dilemma of choosing whether to go back to her older world, or to live in the current one with Satoshi and her parents being alive. Well, in the case of her parents, not her mother - considering how she’s the fragment that could bring in Hanyuu and lead her out of the world she’s at now.
Also curious on what story the doctor has which he hasn’t told Rika yet. Might be hiding something, perhaps?
its interesting to see how even though rika has “lived” 100 years, she still has kid levels of maturity in some ways. like when she finds hanyuu:
R: wtf happened
H: you died and i put you in this other world
R: well it sucks here so come and get me out
H: i cant
R: yes you can
H: no i really cant blah blah resistance blah blah you require more vespene gas
R: fuck you stop whining and fix this shit
the way things are going now maybe my earlier prediction of rika going nuts isnt so far off. rika’s mom is definitely going to get peaced out though after letting out the OMG BIG SECRET.
what the hell, ill just randomly try to predict how the whole thing plays out.
ending 1: rika steps up her murder game. last 2 eps are spent going through the killing part and the subsequent cover up. maybe rika kills the wrong person at the start so she has to kill even more people to finally “get it right”. the fragment is destroyed but because of some small fuckup (you must construct additional pylons) hanyuu cant actually fix everything so rika has to live in that world. note that rika has to have an unhappy ending because otherwise the show would be saying murder is ok, if your reason is good enough.
^ very unlikely but lots of blood  and killer loli
ending 2: rika does not give in to satsui no hadou but there are villains in her world (probably something to do with doctor guy). rika makes friends with her old crew. last 2 eps are spent with rika and her new friends fighting the bad guys. things are a huge mess, people are dying faster than the tech talk forum after SF4 release, and rika looks like shes going to be GGPO’d forever when mommy dies (either martyrs herself or gets killed by a bad guy), allowing hanyuu to come in and save the day. rika is in a “good world” again but what should be a purely joyous occasion is tempered by some sadness as rika remembers mommy’s valiant sacrifice (rika has proven shes ok with watching her friends die) in that “other world”. show ends with rika wondering if everything was really worth it.
ending 3: initially rika decides to go through with the necessary murders but pussies out when its go time because its not right. she says goodbye to hanyuu. philosophical message about taking responsibility for your actions. BORING.
ending 4: any of the above, except when rika is about to die (or at the end for ending 3) she wakes up and discovers its all “just a test” or a lesson from hanyuu about responsibility. hugs and crying all around and BOY DOES SHE FEEL SILLY making everyone worry like that.
No that was the first episode, which I am pretty sure was the creators attacking artificial breast enhancements on women and glorifying the benefits of good undergarments aka armor.
Two episodes into Moyashimon and I don’t care. Kurenai was good up until 10, but I don’t care anymore. Unless someone backs up 11 and 12 by claiming that they are SUPER FANTASTIC, I’m done.
Penguin looks bad. I’m just gonna hit up Queen’s Blade until I hate anime forever.
Basquatch is pretty interesting.
Unlike many anime it has multi-cultaral style that appeals to
Youth culture, and I dig that.
Now, maybe its just just me, but
I think there is some room for improvement, the story is almost
Kafkaesque, robots trucks? Playing basketball? Whatever floats your boat.
Everybody has their own preferences.
