Well the manga, that is, the comic, so yeah. ALOT of anime are actually based on comics that precede them which DO normally finish. Anime is where it can sometimes go wrong, but it can happen on both ends.

You know, as the anime was ending it really implied that was exactly what was going to happen. They really started getting into other characters, and even started jumping into a yuri story arc… and suddenly BAM… it ends. Like wha?

The manga ends at a great point, but I would have liked to see Arima’s expression when he finds out that his daughter loves Asaba.
The reason I can’t die is because you have never learned to love. I keep telling you, just jam it in there and keep shaking it until I die, but you are too much of a coward devoid of will power or endurance to follow through.

Finding out that Mayoi Hachikuji was actually dead while on route to find her mother’s and was left to wander alone in the after life struck me as being extremely heart-breaking and actually came as a shock to me. The poor kid.
I’m glad Araragi was able to find some small way, with the aide of Senjogahara, to bring an end to poor Mayoi’s suffering. I know her arc is over, but now that she’s free I’m hoping that Mayoi will make random appearances throughout the remainder of the series. She’s just too cute to forget about! :lovin:
Concerning Araragi and Senjogahara: from what I understand, in the light novels, they officially start dating at the end of Mayoi Snail story. With that said I guess it’s safe to say that the same is happening here in the anime series.
I know Senjogahara is one hell of a fox, but damn, Araragi needs to be careful. I’ve dated a crazy virgin starved for love before and it was no picnic. Granted she was not as attractive, strong willed or as articulate as Senjogahara so that may explain why things between us didn’t work out.

I’m loving Bakemonogatari and can’t wait for me. I know it’s a stretch but I’m really hoping it gets picked up for a US release and they bring the light novels stateside. That’d be a dream come true. :lovin:

That, combined with the fact that THEY ACTUALLY ACKNOWLEDGE THAT PEOPLE STILL DO STUFF AFTER THEY GET TOGETHER, is a big part of the reason I love KareKano so much. Although you must have made that “bad grades” business up. :lol: No such thing ever happened. At most, Yukino decided to stop trying to be perfect for the sake of appearance…she didn’t stop wanting to be the best.
