Well it was a long time ago, but her grades slipped up to the point I think she was brought into the principals office with her parents at one point. Like, she wasn’t failing classes or anything, but she became like, an average student instead of the Daigo of her school or something. She basically switched priorities. Was impressed by that.
The whole “protagonist at #1 grade average” thing in anime makes me roll my eyes. I honestly wonder how many Japanese anime fans enjoy that sort of thing. Everyone knows the concept of priorities, if school is yours it’s hard if not impossible to fit anything else. That right there emphasized that their relationship, despite being a show, was “real” to me somehow.
Yet ironically, like Rioting Soul mentioned, consequences beget consequences. Just can’t win all the time.
Seems like a good change of pace so I guess I’m in :tup:

So it turns out that Mayoi is actually a ghost that Araragi only sees and caused him to do what he did on Mother’s Day. Seems like Hitagi was pretty blunt in saying that, but she was carrying the message Oshino gave her. Looks like she also declared her love towards Araragi as well! I’d say that they’d make a fantastic couple.
Good to see that Mayoi is now a wandering spirit and that she can visit Araragi (or he can visit her) anytime she wants; would be fun to see more of her and her crazy biting ways.

What the hell is that attack?!? Are those going to be distorted versions of Rafaela and Luciela? Looks like Riful and Duff are dead. I doubt Alicia and Beth would bother attacking that thing. I wonder if the manga is entering its closing phase.
Finally saw KnK #6. It was the weakest movie so far, but it’s still good. It’s just not up to the level of the others, though I did enjoy the change of pace and the character development. Now comes the worst part: waiting until the new one is released on DVD. I have a feeling that the last episode will be fairly dark given the ending of #6 and how light-hearted the overall movie felt.
Canaan #5 was a great episode. I liked pretty much everything about it. Good to see we’re getting some more answers.
This is what crunchyroll sends me. I marked their newsletters as spam but it still comes through. What the hell is this shit. This effectively negates any guilt I may have had over pirating the shows they stream there. Speaking of which, Kanamemo 5 was totally awesome, again, proving its the best show of the season. Man, bath episodes are just like, Gods gift to entertainment. Like, Jesus probably went around turning water into bath episodes when he wasn’t busy walking on bath water or replacing people’s leprosy with moe. While the censorship was disappointing, it gives me new hope and a reason to exist: For the potentially amazing awesome DVD version. Apparently there was one scene that had to be removed so they threw in a picture montage at the end, that made me cry a little. Hopefully this scene makes it to the DVD in all of its pedophiliac glory.
Claymore was too real this chapter. Some real heavy business went down.
Also, anyone here reading Bloody Monday? I picked it up on a whim (I was feeding a Mag on Phantasy Star Online and needed something to do lol) and it’s really quite good. Nice art, story is really interesting too.

I definitely agree with you. That battle should have been epic, but I’m guessing they’re saving the fight for the final movie. The enemy’s power was surprisingly cool. When they first mentioned it, I thought it would be lame. Damn was I wrong.
Its a “Write about Naruto Contest” which amazingly had 3 winners. Amazing because they all failed at life, really, really hard. Like, I can barely contain my contempt and anger over the fact they did something like that.
Which is hypocritical because I once wrote an essay (and posted it in some random thread about Ash Ketchem) about Haruhi being socialist metaphor and handed it in, in a 3rd year english course . At least I got a C+ out of it.
…I encountered an odd problem where I chose the path of bad academics and decided to not cite the actual episodes because I was using pirated, fan subbed material as the basis of my argument (best research ever) because I felt there might be discrepancies or inaccuracies in the translation. Looking back now, I doubt they would have considered/realized the implications of fan subbing and would have done better if I had not been such a bad scholar.
Redownloaded a batch of FMP because the last one I had turned out to be blu-ray and my computer can’t handle that shit. The audio/video/subs get out of sync and I find it really annoying to the point of being unwatchable. Pretty good so far.
Indeed. Apparently, the novels had more focus on him compared to the little shown in the movie. Though it would be nice, as you said, to see if the final movie will show how it’ll fare or not - but I kinda doubt it.
I just felt I should note that Lolerskates’ av is awesome because it has Maria in it. That is all.

Maria is indeed love. I like how season 2 made her (and everyone else) so much better (and in-line with manga, apparently) compared to season 1.
You’d better watch out before she goes for a slew of her trademark deadpan insults before that. :lol:
