I know, it’s just hard to be an otaku these days. I thought when I got older it’d be better cuz of the internet and DVD and all the options coming to us since anime became more mainstream.
Then I go to Youtube and click on a video “Top 100 Anime Songs” and I go check it out to find 19 tracks belong to D.Gray Man and Naruto, with Black Lagoons theme being number 1. Sure it’s one guys opinion, but you wouldn’t guess it by the views and comments.
I don’t know, it kind of sours the milk knowing that I basically have to adjust to enjoying this watered down anime world to really get into it. Have you any idea how giddy I got when I saw this? [media=youtube]9-DF9DWy0hw&feature=related&fmt=18[/media]

You know what I did today?
I read four volumes of VB Rose, a series about a girl who helps out two guys in a shop that makes wedding dresses. It’s a cute, endearing, charming little love story.
Then I came home and read the four newest chapters of Fapnote, and went nuts at what resulted of those four chapters, leaving me annoyed that I have to wait for more.
Essentially I went from a series about a girl falling in love, to a series about a guy who takes out his sexual frustration by jerking off over everything.
Shit. You could sit me infront of a tv with og Devilman and watch me fucking shout out all the moves when he does them, or marvel at me marathon 50 episodes at a time of Urusei Yatsura. Then you could spin me around in a chair and show me the newest episode of Hayate no Gotoku, Zan Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei, Spice and Wolf, whatever.
I mean I can sympathize, sure, and hell I tend to prefer the older shows, but you’re off your fucking rocker if you think anime isn’t worth watching nowadays. Series like One Piece, Full Metal Alchemist, Lucifer and the fucking Biscuit Hammer, that shit continues to make me happy that I keep watching fucking cartoons and reading manga.
