they really changed things around, yet kept central themes not only preserved, but expanded upon. having asuka crushed blew me away (although we get to see sagat X asuka after the end sequence). the interplay between shinji and rei is great! and exposition of things kept open ended in the OG series was a nice touch as well. Mari = predictably enjoyable. Kawarou at the end is intense. I’m just too psyched for the final two. This is bringing me back to 1998. I just can’t get sick of eva

So from potentially moving to the moon, they crash land back to Earth and inadvertently, underground - where we get some non-mecha but still basketball involving action scenes. Also introduces Price, who seems to be a professional killer and will be sent to finish off Dan by that stupid Eclipse manager. Also, lol at Flora’s identity being revealed by Jiya in front of Miyuki and Sela.
Interesting times ahead await for this show!

The entire scouter scene was just priceless. Otohime and Otae conflict still going, though now with the gas being widespread in the castle, Otae got infected and became old. Otherwise, decent episode, with more on Otohime’s past.

I know we’re supposed to watch it the chatroom, but we’ve missed ep 3 this week.
Regardless the whole scene with Mino and mysterious mute girl in the cat suit was too funny; especially when he was thrown out of the club.
I was surprised that the old dude was originally a kid whom got older thanks to the mutated virus and how strange his brother’s ability was.
The…ehum, bonding between Canaan and Maria might sever after what the former did right about the end of the ep. Action scenes were pretty much top notch, as usual.
I wonder if hollywood would like to be submerged in lots of backstory that makes up Gungrave?
They’ll probably just go off of(very loosely) the game.
I’ve only seen about 10 minutes worth of the game played and I’ve seen two episodes and forgot most of what happened and I’m sure I’d make a better adaptation than what they will produce.
