Haruhi: I wasn’t too impressed with the new Haruhi, but I still enjoyed it. I like how the series ties the first and second season together without needless backstory.
Eden: What the fuck. Wings. Overall, another interesting episode. I can’t wait to see how this series develops. I thought the usage of EoE was implemented well. Lastly, I bet she still has Oosugi. If she can fake flying out of a building with wings, she can fake something as simple as that.
Valkyria: Although I still haven’t seen episode 7, I can’t get myself to watch another. I guess this means I’m dropping the show.

I noticed while watching Haruhi, that moe-blobs are starting to annoy me because it’s completely overdone in K-On. I can only take so much of that stuff.
I was JUST saying how an intense, dramatic scene was rendered hilarious by the repeated use of “Johnny.” It’s fucking impossible to hear it that much and take it seriously.

Remember in ep 1, when Mio was the level headed, mature one to Ritsu’s haphazard genki girl and mugi’s along-for-the-ride and yui’s retard? Okay, I could see how it’d be funny for somebody who was level headed and mature to have some sort of social anxiety that rendered them less of the above. But now, it’s…that’s all there is now. She doesn’t even have the level headed aspect anymore because she’s too busy hiding from shit. MIO IS SCARED OF FUCKING EVERYTHING. WE GET IT. LET’S MOVE ON NOW. SHIT.
And yeah, nobody should expect God Bless level performance animation, but it’d be nice to actually see the whole thing without a montage of walls.
Im a little confused, I’ve never seen Haruhi and it’s driving me up the wall constantly hearing about it and seeing that choreographed dance/Haruhi dressed like a playboy bunny stuff plastered all over the internet.
If we gave you a sypnosis it’d kind of ruin it for you. In short, weird girl makes a club that searches for paranormal things such as time travelers, aliens, espers, and sliders… but with a twist. You find out what the twist is about half way through the show, if I recall (granted you watch it out of chronological order and in the other that they aired on TV, which is all the fun).

first TTGL. Was disappointing that most of the movie was a synopses instead of a retelling. To much cut and paste to really even call it a movie. I will say the new intro is awesome but the loss of Captain Starlock is most depressing. Even still it’s amazing what Gainax can do when they have a budget to spend. The new intor is an eyegasm to witness and the ending where Simon ripps all the generals a new ass hole is just so blindingly awesome and well animated i don’t know how to describe it.
slightly disappointed in this movie cause so much of it is recycle but even still it was fun being incredibly manly stupid again. Reminded of how fun the show was to watch. I hear the second movie has more new content so excited for that.

RE Degeneration. Man…Capcom makes me laugh like a little a school kid. This movie is so cliche and so corny yet it hits all the notes so well, so perfectly that i cant help but love it. It’s like the guys at Capcom read the “Evil Dead Handbook for awesome Zombie Movies” and hit every pointer it gives. Leon is a riot. So stoic and serious. Belts out one liners like a bad ass and nails every head shot. He never once loses his cool even when things are going retardedly bad. Then the police woman who just so happens to be the little sister so the big bad terrorist and has to give the emotional speech while a house burns down. They just hit every fucking “Awesome Zombie Movie” note and the movies a blast to watch because of it. Reminds me of why I like Resident Evil. It’s like a block buster 80’s movie but with today’s technology. So much fun.
Movie was a hilarious fun awesome Zombie movie. Feels like Sam Raimi directed it lol.

Yeah, they’re REALLY running that whole Mio is scared thing joke to the ground in K-ON. Doesn’t matter though, I’m slowly becoming more of a Sawako fan as the episodes go by - though I fear that they’re already running that “Sawako gets outfits, girls gets creeped out” a bit too much now.
Regardless, despite the obvious complaints, the show in general is still fun.
Gonna be watchin’ Eden and more Natsu no Arashi in a bit. Loving the latter show the more I watch it - pretty much my surprise show of this season. :lovin:

Ugh, I still have yet to even watch the first two seasons of this. I keep on hearing rave reviews for this series, but I just never get around to sitting down and watching it.
God damn! That is one crazy looking Eva design! Seeing that has me even more hyped for the 2nd movie this summer as I’m really curious how the introduction of Unit 05 and it’s polit is going to alter the storyline. Can’t wait!
While I’m not a fan of Haruhi I’ll check this out as I’ve wanted to check out the light novels. Thanks! If it proves to be worthwhile I’ll pick up the official release as I’d love to see more light novels come stateside.
Blegh, I mildly enjoyed the 1st season of Haruhi, knowing that I’ll have to rewatch most of it for season 2 to make sense as me feeling a bit meh.

Anyways, I know everyone is watching Eden of the East, K-ON, Hayate no Gotoku S2 and the like, but I don’t see anyone talking about Hatsukoi Limited. Anyone watching it? Or do people just not care for it in general? Next to the 2nd season of Hayate it’s my favorite show of the season.
As long as there’s otaku that can easily be pandered, they’d be swimming in cash almost every time. :lol:

Still, Shiratori is one hell of a creepy lady. It seemed kind of expected that she’s doing all that Johnny (damn I heard this word too much today) chopping because of something a man did to her in the past.
It all ended up with a cliffhanger, too. Dammit, can’t wait for the next episode and see what Ohsugi’s fate will be.
I only watched the first ep and it’s pretty faithful to the manga. I’m sure the rest of it might be, but I haven’t got to watch it yet. Read up the entire 4 volumes a while back and it was pretty decent, but…well, how could I say this? Rather limited? Sounds ironic (and hardly funny), but that’s how I felt the series was at the end.
Up to episode 6 of Natsu no Arashi. Arashi continues to be lovable while I’m starting to slowly like the rest of the cast more by each ep (well Hajime by a tiny bit). I love the bits with Kanako and Yayoi with the tales and random manga references, too. Shinbo’s influence is seen all over the show as well.
