K-On was great. Very good episode, lots of energy and fun situations. Sawako continues to make me laugh more then anyone else. I dunno what I would have done if I had a teacher like that when i was in High School… Azusa…I dunno what to say about her yet as she only said like…one thing in the whole episode and was just kind of…there lol. Hopefully shes cool.
I liked this episode it was very good. I like how they keep forcing Mio out of her shell. Makes her more interesting then a simple moe blob.

Itsuki’s a good character, yeah. The Haruhi-chan shorts (if you ever got to watching them) seems to insinuate his “friendship” towards Kyon a tiny bit further.
Of course not. Fang + optimism + nyoron~ is a highly understandable winning combination. She was at her prime in the aforementioned Haruhi-chan shorts (in one of them, she engaged in a duel with Mori-san, the maid from the island murder mystery episodes) and of course, Churuya-san.
Ah, good to see the show’s sci-fi nature is in full swing again. Mikuru losing her time travel device and Nagato showing more of her hax powers. Interesting how this little incident brought up the alien/esper/time traveler interest for Haruhi.
No fluidly animated dance ED this time around, but it sounded pretty good.

Nothing too super hilarious this episode; aside from Sawako unleashing her costume based assault on the girls with them wearing those creepy animal outtfits. :lol: Also, despite the song subject, the performance sounded a bit better than the last time around. Looking forward to see how newcomer Asuza would fare next week.
Re: those of you commenting on Haruhi “S2” without having read the light novels
Artistic style choice aside(the whole release thing), the plot has certain things happen for a reason(I’m looking at the guy talking about Mikuru being a “ditz”), and you’ll see more things fall into place once we get to Endless Eight and further. Bamboo Leaf Rhapsody serves its purpose, to introduce the time travel aspect, and to give insight on what the hell happened “3 years ago”.
Ah yeah, I guess using the word ditz was a bit inappropriate when it came to the situation seeing as to how it was supposed to happen. My bad. But I’m looking forward to see how it’ll all shape out in the coming episodes. Maybe I should read up those novel translations sometime, too.
On TT, the note for K-on 8 is “If you think we really dropped this for Haruhi, you can fucking kill yourself ??”
Haruhi 1 was pretty good, a fair deal of moe pr0n, but some interesting fleshing out to the story is happening. Although the time travel paradox bugs me…its like in Zelda where you learn that song from that guy in the windmill and then you go back in time to go play it for him.
Anyway, what kind of affect do you guys think loli haruhi will have on the pedophilia tiers?
I mean, precocious kids have always been a high mid tier, but I don’t see it topping adults who have been turned into children via magic/potions/reincarnation (which is broken if you ask me, they do deserve to be higher), let alone school swimsuits or brother complex’d girls. deep epd, this is where everything seemingly alters. Most people already knew that Ein and Zwei would end up running together somehow, so I guess that’s not a big surprise. Zwei already knew that he couldn’t go back to his original life, so in the end he made the right choice.
In that case I think he was just thinking whatever EVERY other kid his age did. I’m not current on the books though so if there’s other things pointing to Kyon then I just don’t know them yet.
She was for me until I read soem of hte books(haven’t finished/caught up actually). She’s actaully a bit more normal in the book.
I liked Tsuruya as well. Something about that infectious laughter, however, I am basing it entirely on the OVA thing cause I don’t remember her from the actual anime.
You’re using the word paradox too soon. So far certain “mysterious” things have a pretty logical solution. The problem is since they’re going in chronological order, you’re not gonna get to the real meat and potatoes for at least 2-3 months. The next 2 “S2” episodes are in the middle of the rest of the S1 run.
They would’ve counted her like 2 times over by now, considering the original light novel story, and the PSP game.
I was getting worried that the only time we’d ever actually see them actually perform as a band and playing the instruments was in the opening.
That being said:
Animal suits bit - Boring. Maid bit - Extremely dull. The concept that a teacher who was into heavy metal who is now an adult is suddenly into ‘cosplaying’ her club members reeks of a forced plot device.
Mio being Mio - God just fucking stop already with this bitch. Her reaction before the curtains went up made me want to step on her throat and slam her guitar to the back of her head. All her personal tendencies have become horribly overdone at this point, so sick of it.
The performance - Yui and Mio sang great. The song was extremely cute and catchy. We got to see them actually PLAY THE INSTRUMENTS, it was all fine… until Kyoto decided to be dumb and display pictures of the rest of the school like I really give a flying fuck during what would have been an awesome solo by Yui that I would have killed (Mio) to see animated.
