Cl.mk is 4f right? One of her combos in her training was fadc into mk right? Cl hp is 3f, so it is at least a 2f link in ssf4. In normal sf4 it was actually a 1f.
Nah, that was off of EX Sho which grants 2 extra frames of hitstun, cl.hp is a 3 framer off of EX Sho far as I’m aware.
So Hp Shou FADC cl. Hp really is a 1f link? im a pad player an i think that that combo is one of the main reasons i like her but its close to impossible on pad…

I didn’t notice anything new being used by Sakura, but can she still escape air Tatsu? And could you always anti-air lp. Shou FADC U2? Also, Viper’s far st.RH rapes Sak’s jump-ins apparently.
u could anti air lp shou u2 but it would depend on how close your opponent was to the ground before u hit him

If you look at 8:28, look at the range on c.MK. Maybe my eyes are deceiving me but c.MK hitbox looks improved.
Throughout the matches, decreased recovery on Hadouken is definitely noticeable.
Matchup vs Yun looks like the Rufus matchup except easier imo.
Although the Sak player wasn’t that great. He looks new to Sakura and doesn’t have her combos down for sure. He tried cls.MP once on that Dudley.

Hey Sakura players, MGL got SSF4AE today so I decided to stop by. I managed to record some matches when BLG FilipinoChamp was streaking (he ended the night with a 27 win streak), which included a Sakura player:

Unfortunately, I didn’t get a chance to play because I got there late and the queue was huge (around an hour and a half wait to play). It looks like Pierre tried to test the air tatsu hits throughout the match; he also connected cl. st.strong in the first round. I spoke to him after and he said that her improved hadoken may take some getting used to.
I saw Haunts and the rest of the iPW crew recording matches in HD so be sure to look out for those soon.

Sakura vs Yun and Yang in AE
I got a few matches in Chinatown today against Yun and Yang, and the Yang play was great (EMP).
one AWFUL thing i noticed...and I'm not sure if I should put it here or in the AE category is that despite hit confirming from low fierce into ex tatsu...it would miss on them more often than not, similar to blanka and akuma. To make matters worse, I distinctly remember confirming it on a standing Yang, and he just stood up and blocked the ex Tatsu....Yang's rising kick covers cross ups for the most part, though I was getting successful jumping fierce safe jumps. His Ultra 2 also works as a solid anti air depending on the timing (I've seen it seems to work better if done early as opposed to later)
I wouldnt bother running resets on Yang as he can EX teleport out and his rising kick is a solid reversal. Also his EX command grab is immune to hits and throws. I chose to go with Ultra 2, as neither of the twins has outstanding HP, and the anticipation of dive kicks helps.
As for other things, damage seems nicer, air tatsu seems more reliable and just as effective if not more so than in Super. The far st mp is nice, but I wasn't able to work it into block strings. Same for the close mp; I didn't get to check its linking into low mk.
i went to Mgl(milpitas golfland)yesterday and was able to get about 16 games(including a 7win streak)i was however caught in a vice of wanting to
try new stuff but also not taking to many risks with things i was unfamiliar with(as the line to get on was about 80mins) but i would like to report
on my early feelings of ae sakura.
First The Normals
cl.stand strong-the 2 less frames of recovery are very noticeable,it gives a nice feeling of power & and advantage,
combo wise i did not go for the cr.MK follow up but i did connect a cr.FPxxLK tatsu,however since it pushes you farther away then a light attack
it may not be a go to combo against some characters.
cr.FP-still amazing aa however,and this may just be the new game feeling but i want to say that the move has reduced recovery it does not seem to take as long to retract,in one instance i misjudged the jump arc of my opponent and they went over me landed next to me
tried to throw but i was able to tech,so to me it looks faster on the recovery.
st.MK-wish i could talk about this one but i hardly used it,i just don’t really think about it when i am playing,i’ll try to tho next time.
cr.RH-seemed more useful in the gief match up,perhaps better hitbox?,needs more testing.
On to the Specials
her fireball now feels weird just because i estimate it to be ken level now(recovery wise)so it’s not AS risky now and it feels nice to
pressure more with it,easier and more reliable to aa after opponent jumps(tho it’s not like i have tried it against all characters in ae,but so far)
tatsu&otoshi-former did not seem changed nor did the later,still great unteachable KD and now you have a bit more time cuz of the buff to hadou
shouoken-maybe more damage?not sure,otherwise seems the same
Random stuff-i can say for sure that cr.FR EXtatsu does not work on the twins,however cl stand.FPxxLK tatsu->cr.FPxxLK tatsu->st.LKxxEX tatsu
does work and it HURTS bad,not sure if this is common knowledge but the twins have very low health 850 if i am not mistaken,so i like that,not sure about stun
gief and blanka were a lot more fun to play aganist.
i’ll try to go again soon test more things.
