I can check into a tournament at OL and maybe we can plan something afterwards at my place. I think we’ll just go for a single game tournament w/out all the extras. I might can get some peeps from Charleston and NC to come out for it but thats a rough weekend for travelling. I’ll try and update this situation before the end of the week.

If I’m not mistaken PSL is about 3 hours away form Tampa, I’m honestly not 100% sure. The only thing I am certain about is the fact that it takes a 2 hour drive to get to Orlando from PSL.
If you’re ever willing to head down to PSL for some 3S comp. let me know ahead of time and I’ll try to rally up the guys. We can play some 3S and if you’re up to it some CvS2.
To be honest with you I really don’t remember what my old sig. said, I’ve been using the phrase “Parry Parry Throw Taunt” for so long I totally forgot what I used before that.
Either way it’s all good. I used to play a Turtle Q , but I’ve been making some adjustements to my gameplay to try and prevent that. (Granted Turtling can be useful on some occassions but I was over-doing it back in the day.).
I think it’s actaully closer to about 4 hours

That Urien throw setup is completely escapeable i believe. If you do a close Aegis, I quick stand and jump away, if you do a far Aegis, I quick stand and block… if I misjudge this, I may get hit a few times by the aegis but Urien won’t be able to get any signif. dmg from it.
Lastly, if I miss the quick stand, I parry backwards and/or throw you.
I could be wrong, this is off the top of my head, but I believe that’s the reason why you never see mid screen aegis throw setups.
Corner aegis setups are much better, and forces the defensive player to guess low or high.
What about if he get’s you in the Sexy mirror samwich? Since I use HUGO it’s seems really hard to beat a good urien, since some of his most damaging combo’s are on HUGO and Q. How can I control the match against a good urien player with my “fat bastard”?

I know for a fact that it is escapable just by a well times QS. As mentioned I look for the QS and instead of the Headbut cross-over I do the OH with Frc or cr.forward depending on what I think they will do. Free dmg is good whether large or small in amount. I’ve switched up my style by jamming out cr…Jab if they miss the QS and combo off the Aegis into cr.Frc for a big combo. It can be Parried I’m sure but the timing could get tricky. I don’t believe it is possible to throw Urien out of the trap untill after the Aegis is gone (prove me wrong I guess) so that’s not a big issue. If someone QS and jumps back I think a quick reaction would be to go for either the EX Headbut or toward+Strong. I guess the trap has it’s place but you’re right the corner Aegis is the best use.

Unless there is something particulatly evil at work with Hugo I really don’t see the Aegis sandwhich being much more than a waste of meter. Just block/parry untill it disappears.

Well If he makes a “Sexy Mirror Samwich” you can actually jump a fierce kick the “mirror”. In reality this does nothing but makes your opponent think you are insane. 
Also, I do a lot of Hugo’s amazing butt smash! Crouch + Fierce Kick = Top Tier against Urien!
I would have many more Scrub-tastic Hugo comments for you all, but I havn’t played the game in about a month, and for about 2 months before that.

If you do find yourself (for some bizarre reason or another) in an Aegis Sandwhich and the reflectors themselves are no where from touching you just stand still and try to parry whatever Urien throws at you.
You can block but you want to try and avoid being pushed into the Aegis behind you as much as possible.

Hmm…yes indeed. But I also used that attack to win against that asian guy in Miami who was beating everyone. I think it has weird overhead priorities on Urien or something…I don’t know. It’s cool!! Everyone should use it! Theres nothing more humiliating to your opponent then getting sat on by a 400 pound guy with downsyndrome!
ah the butt move. yes it has interesting properties.
I believe it’s an overhead from far, and normal if close. or the other way around, it’s like that for every character (i think!), not just urien.
i had a friend who got 3rd at an SVGL tourney just mixing up c.mk and the butt move with his 2 day hugo.

BTW…As for the Saturday after Thanksgiving I’m positive we can get together here but I will try and throw together a tournament in Anderson , SC for earlier that day since so many people have requested it. I was going to do a 3S only but since a few NC people have shown interest in coming I might ad MvC2…I was thinking of getting back into that game anyway.
