You can get out of it, but the scrubs can’t for some reason. Every once in a while I’ll get hit by a reversal SRK or a reversal throw, but it’s not often and by the time they get out of it they’re already missing half their health.
It works especially well on people who block. If people don’t block, I can do c.jab, c.jab, Low Rush Punch and force them to go to a wakeup game.
Not foolproof, and not necessarily legit, but over the internet, people have trouble with it.
Remix Blanka is too fun to play. Especially against people online who think all he has is roll (or at least expect a Blanka player to just roll all day)
HDR Blanka is so unheterosexual. He gives me a really hard time. Now he can just sit back and blanka ball all day. And if I get in on him and try to cross him up, he can just mash electricity like a moron. DJ might actually have the advantage over blanka, but it seems like so much work.
Sirlin worked really hard to take out throw loops. He managed to get rid of all the real nasty ones (meaty move into throw) but some throw loops from ST can be modified to work in HDR. I’m sure they worked in ST, but they’re no where near as good as the ones Sirlin took out.
My favorite throw setup (not a loop) is with T Hawk. Roundhouse throw, jump into cross up j. mk, low jab, 360. Or you can jump into cross up body splash, close mk, hp srk. It stuns most of the time. Unfortunately it seems to be either character specific, or random whether or not your cross your opponent up.
People complain because low forward is a better move for the throw loop. It’s easier to meaty cr. mk and cr. lp. on top of that people used to playing Boxer in ST (me included) will just wiff standing forward a lot.
I like Ken a lot, but mostly for his cross ups and mash throw. I usually end up playing DJ after a while, though, because DJ has a better cross up game.
And I just feel like my Blanka just isn’t nearly as much of a pain in the butt as other people’s. I’ve gotten a lot better at dealing with the monster, though. DJ’s meaty low strong, with the proper spacing, beats out pretty much anything Blanka can do on wake up besides throw.
