Jhi just sent me a text that said CVS2 is back at Scandia. This true? Is it in the GG machine or in some weird 20 in 1 machine the tech has up?
Scandia can’t keep doing this to me. It was the closest place I could play CVS2 at and then disappeared because it wasn’t making enough money. Now apparently it’s back because of…?
lol, frank, jhi the only one that goes to scandia consistently (every day). Alex is keystone, joe is ggpo, tony and mexican alex like in-house, jaime basically quit, me and kris have been playing heroclix more, my new stick has barely got any play, I haven’t seen spanky in hella deep, dont know what happened to niko, wen, fu and luis I haven’t hit up in while. Apparently it is back, it’s in the old MvC2 cab, and MvC2 was moved to where GGX was.

Maybe it’s just me, but those p360’s make the game much harder to play. They aren’t registering diagonals as easily as the microswitch controllers I’m used to.
2nd player I gave up playing magneto on, if I cannot jump, it’s useless to me. 1st player wasn’t as bad, but still every p360 i’ve played on, there have been issues with down back, up forward, etc.
Other than that, glad to have CvS2 back, and MvC2 in that machine is better, just wish it had normal controllers and not the P360’s.
We really should organize something at least monthly.
I really hate the P360 sticks, if we could find a place to hold it in someones house like we did that once, I think it would be best. I can play 20x better on microswitch sticks, especially my own MAS. I usually am not picky about sticks, except when it comes to Marvel.
I will play at Scandia, but it loses some of the fun, and there is less motivation when I feel like I’m losing purely on stick circumstances.
Something I’ve noticed that I never payed much attention to, but it seems as if arcade MvC2 players slower than DC. Either the Scandia cabinet is set at the wrong speed, or there is a speed issue in general that I never learned when it was talked about.
Just as a note, I don’t want to diminish anyone’s skill or the arcade itself. I just personally don’t like MvC2 at Scandia. I (might not be the sticks) can’t play as well. My group of friends still play a lot, but we just play on console at someone’s house (here).
I’d really like to add more people to it, but since we play on the fly, and can’t really set up our own time to inform people we will be there; it makes it kinda shitty for people other than us by not being able to set aside time.
I do like playing with the people at Scandia, other than Stilt (already has a full grasp of the game), I think people there are warming up to it a little more, and really trying to get into it. I’d like to help more by being there, but with the sticks, it’s hard to get Dave, and myself to want to go, but we try as much as possible. I know Stilt doesn’t like console gaming @ strangers, but unless they magically change the sticks, I feel like I have to play scrub–which i am not a fan of playing Cable or Storm/Sentinel/AA-- because I don’t want to even attempt playing a Magneto based team. Not to mention my sent is kinda ass, so fast flying is difficult for me on those sticks.
Again, it’s my suckage, not anyone else, I mean we’re all using the same sticks. I just would like to expand the skill of the players in our local area so not only do we all get better from playing each other, but we actually have each other to play with; alleviating hour long travels. Yes homo.
I went to the Fairfield Tilt, and while I hated those sticks too (seemed to be kinda dense, or stiff for my taste, I like looser sticks), but I was able to play because I could super jump and block. Both issues I have at Scandia due to 360 not registering diagonals well.
Anyway, my only point is I’d like to play with more people, I’m going to talk to my friends, and see if we can’t promise a date that at least one of us will always be there, say every other friday at someones house? If we can’t find a place to play, we can just use Scandia, but again, I’d rather not if I don’t have to.

It was a philipino friend (he looks hispanic, black spiked hair playing cable/doom/commando) and I (playing MSP, ROW, MSS).
We didn’t get many games in though.
We play console on the fly. Whenever usually separately, sometimes all of us, others just like 3 of us.
